Well appointed traditional house in full countryside surrounded by 5 acres of garden and 5 minutes from the village of Vallons sur Gee in the Sarthe (72).
Once a farmhouse this property was converted into a primary residence and as such has full facilities and comfort of a family home.It is a few minutes from the village in the peacefull Sarthe coutryside and only 20 minutes from the busy town of Le Mans.
The area has something for everyone whether you just want to relax, visit the track and museum of the Le Mans 24hr race, visit Chateaux, walk, climb in the trees, discover the villages and rivers of the area, or just savour the local specialites in the markets bars and restaurants in the area.

The Loire Valley / Sarthe region
The property is on the northern edge of the Loire Valley with its Chateaux and wine producing areas. Le Mans is 20 minutes away with all its facilities, and within an hours drive you can visit the delights of Sablé, Saumur, Angers, La Fleche or Baugé each with their own centres, markets and facilities.
At Saumur visit the Cadre Noir and the Troglodytes or taste the excellent sparkling wines , see the Apocalypse Tapestries at Angers, the Chateau at Durtal, go racing or play golf at Sablé, visit the monastry at Solesmes or dine at La Flèche. For the children there is Acrobranches (tree climbing), swimming, canoeing, riding, fishing, biking, bowling.
Le Mans area
Le Petit Maillencourt is only 20 minutes from the 24 hour track at Le Mans with its excellent motor museum. The old part of Le Mans is beautifully preserved and the weekly market is a must.
Ten minutes from Le Petit Maillencourt is the medievil village of Asnieres from where you can follow the Sarthe river down to Solesmes and Sablé through quiet unspoilt villages.
There are houses to visit , food and wine to taste and discoveries to be made. Golf, horse racing, swimming, canoeing or bowling at Sable (20 minutes) and even a museum of animated toys.

Train – Le Mans 20 Minutes (TGV to London – change at Lille), La Suze (Local train)5 minutes.
Air – Angers (direct flights from Southampton Eastern Airways) 50 minutes, Rennes 1 hour, Nantes 1.5 hours.
Paris CDG 1.5 hrs direct TGV connection to Le Mans.
Ferry – Calais 5 hrs, Le Havre 3.5hrs, Ouistreham 3 hrs , St Malo 2.5 hrs., Cherbourg 3.5 hrs.

Further details outdoors: The house is in the middle of a 5 acre enclosed garden.
This is mainly put down to lawn and is enough area for a good size football or cricket field! It is an ideal area for the children to explore within safety whilst leaving the adults to relax.

Please note that whilst there is a large enclosed garden there is also an unfenced pond next to the house.
Whilst the property is great for kids young children require supervision in view of the pond area.
