Gite Renée is situated just south of Sillé-le-Guillaume, where there are bars, restaurants, shops and weekly markets. Surrounded by farms, it is quiet and peaceful, yet has easy access to all amenities. Le Mans, Alençon and Laval are all within a 20-minute drive away.
Only 5 minutes away is Sillé plage (beach), which includes swimming, boating, fishing, horse-riding to name but a few. Take-away or sit-down meals are available from the local restaurants.
The cottage provides a double and twin bedroom so is ideal for families, with a barbecue area to enjoy eating outdoors and the children can play in the spacious garden area. It is ideally situated to travel and see the sights, while providing plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

The Loire Valley / Sarthe region
Sillé-le-Guillaume is a village and commune in the Sarthe departement of France, in the region Pays-de-la-Loire. Gite Renée borders one of Normandies National Parcs. Being just South of Normandy this is excellent Calvados country.
Le Mans is only 20 minutes away and with the race track and the old city you will have plenty to see and do.

Sillé-le-Guillaume's château is in the neighbouring town and well worth a visit.
All the family will enjoy the activities provided at Sillé Plage (beach) about 10 minutes drive away. This is a 100-acre lake which includes a man-made beach, swimming, boating, horse riding, fishing and much much more.
June is the time for the whole of France to celebrate music. Around the 3rd weekend every village, town and city will put on live music, free for everyone to enjoy.

This renovated stone-built holiday home is full of character with its wooden-beamed ceilings and log-burner in the lounge. It is centrally heated with cooker and microwave in the kitchen.
This is an excellent base to discover the region, with many places of interest nearby.
Further details outdoors: Eating outside is a must in France with a BBQ and seating area to enjoy. A petanque/boules area is available for you to learn how to play!
