Your perfectly located Villa for the Cannes Film Festival.

At the top of Boulevard Carnot the villa is linked to the Palais des Festival by the fast-track bus in 15 minutes.

At night after the bustle of Cannes go back "home" to the charming village villa and enjoy the Provencal garden.

This is indeed a true hidden gem in the heart of the lovely village of Le Cannet on the hill that overlooks Cannes but not so far as Mougins!

This 17th Century village house has been refurbished in the last years whilst still retaining a charming Provencal feel - the property has 3 well-designed modern bedrooms each with a bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen.

The villa is presented over 3 levels with sea views from the 2 upper level bedrooms. The 3rd bedroom is at garden level. All bedrooms can be made up either with a kingsize bed or 2 single beds. The villa has a sea-view from the upper level bedrooms.

The drawing room has a large Italian sofa bed with lovely views over the garden. The dining room with large dining table has convenient direct access kitchen.

The outdoor area is really lovely with suspended garden and terrace area.

The house has all up to date amenities to include air conditioning, Wifi, satellite TV with plasma screen.

There are plenty of local shops closeby.

It is located at the top of Cannes's well-known Boulevard Carnot that directly connects the Palais des Festivals to Le Cannet.

There is a convenient taxi service directly to the Croisette (10mn)

The centre of Cannes can also be reached by the fast-track direct bus N°1 in 15 minutes for just over 1€.

It is very easy to park close to this villa either in the street or in one of the 9 free or pay communal car-parks.

Quiet neighbourhood.

Review March 2012:Myself and two colleagues stayed in this beautiful villa whilst on a business trip in Cannes and the property absolutely surpassed our expectations!

Before we arrived in Cannes both J and P were extremely helpful with any queries we that we had about our upcoming trip and once we arrived at the villa we were received an extremely warm greeting by Patrice who showed us around the extensive property.

The villas location is set back from central Cannes in a very peaceful French village location, but the seafront and all of the main attractions are easily reached by taxi in a few minutes, or alternatively there is a bus stop a 2 minute walk from the property. All of the rooms and external space of the property were very clean and well presented, with some of the property having recently undergone refurbishment to a very high standard. The downstairs bathroom is gorgeous!!!

When it came time for us to leave the villa Patrice was again on hand to help us with our departure.

Review July 2011: We stayed in this lovely, old villa last week for a family holiday and it was perfect for us. The description and photos are entirely accurate but cannot convey the delightful feeling of seclusion and peace the villa offers. The large dining table was great for big family meals and the garden, sitting under the olive tree, was ideal for warm summer evenings. The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The manager was a delight, making us feel very welcome and offering help, if needed, through the week. The newly opened Bonnard Museum, less than 5 mins walk away, is highly recommended. 5 floors of fully air-conditioned, well presented material with an interesting local history. A car is really not necessary to stay in this house. Parking can be a problem and the nearby bus & taxi services into Cannes are excellent. So long as they could negotiate the lovely spiral staircase, I would unreservedly recommend this house to friends, it is a beautiful place to stay

Parking lots

The villa does not have a parking space attached to it but there are 5 free and pay parking lots around ; such as free Parking de Königsteinat the bottom of the rue de Königstein (30 spots), and the pay parking des Orangers (20 spots (first hour free) : 0.6€ per hour

The French Riviera - Cote d'Azur region

Located just 2 kilometres from sandy beaches and peaceful harbours, in the heart of seven gently sloping hills, Le Cannet, “France's Madeira”, is a perfect base for easy and pleasant walks through a typical Mediterranean environment with pine-trees, olive-trees, mimosas, orange-trees and eucalyptus.

The ancient village of "Le Cannet" founded in 1041, between the Mediterranean Coast and Provence, is far from traffic but only a few minutes away from Cannes's prestigious "Croisette".

The peaceful charm of such surroundings will lead you to many touristy and/or professional discoveries. The town enjoys a breathtaking panorama over Cannes, extending from the Lerins Islands to the Esterel Mountains.

Your experience of Le Cannet is only limited by the time you spend there.

Culture and Folklore :

The orange tree "bigaradier":

Traditionally cultivated in Le Cannet, its flowers allow the manufacture of delicate perfumes, while its fruit is used to produce an excellent marmalade and a delicious orange wine.

The olive tree:

The fruit of this typical Mediterranean tree gives a balmy olive oil, and is also used to produce the "tapenade", a smooth and thick paste really appreciated in the south of France to go with “aperitif”.

Heritage :

Le Cannet holds a strong cultural and artistic heritage. The "Chapelle Notre Dame des Anges" the "Chapelle Saint-Sauveur" and "Eglise Sainte-Catherine", the Old Town, as well as the wall decorated by Peynet bear a living testimony to such a rich past. In the spring of 2011 the new International "Musée Bonnard" will open in Le Cannet.

Le Cannet

Located in the heart of the French Riviera, Cannes is without any doubt one of the most prestigious cities in the world.

Authentic sanctuary of prosperity, security, and quality of life, Cannes has truly earned its legendary reputation as a city where life is so wonderful.

Splendid surroundings, a luxurious setting, top-quality services, all contribute to make Cannes the ideal destination for luxury tourism.

With a remarkably high number of sunny days each year, its luxury hotels that are authentic wonders of their kind, its excellent restaurants, its casinos overflowing with colour, its sandy beaches and its magnificent bay, Cannes possesses the qualities which are envied by sea resorts and tourist destinations throughout the world.

The city is famous for its May International Film Festival, where in successive generations Elizabeth Taylor, Brigitte Bardot and Madonna have dutifully stopped traffic to pander to paparazzi. The parade of starlets along the main thoroughfare, boulevard de la Croisette, feeds the world's front pages for two weeks and launches the vacation season.

The only free beach in the area is in front of the "Palais des Festivals et des Congrès"; the rest of the sand is divided into private strips belonging to the seafront hotels - with the famous Carlton Inter-Continental and Martinez hotels probably the best symbols of the town.
