About the home

Newly renovated, south-facing, 4 double-bedroom villa with pool and stunning views over the Gorge du Loup. Fully-furnished in a modern style to the highest standard, with stone floors and air-conditioning throughout. Towels and linen are provided.

Accommodation comprises: - 2 Dble Bed Masters with en-suite bath/shower rooms. Both rooms have open views onto the valley, interrupted only by the orange trees of the garden. One of the masters has direct access on to its own terrace to catch the morning sun or the evening sunset. - 2 Twin Rooms: Share a bath/shower room and a separate WC. Direct access to sun terrace - Living and Dining Room: Spacious and air-conditioned with 180 degree panoramic view across the valley. In-house entertainment comprises flat-screen TV, home cinema surround sound, DVD player and a selection of DVD films, satellite TV with English channels (including BBC, ITV and CBeebies), and Wireless internet access. Fully-fitted Kitchen: Open-plan kitchen with breakfast bar. Lot's of toys for children, table tennis, swings, slides, boule pitch, table football, playhouse, sandpit, etc

Le Clos Saint Jean is set in an ideal location on the Cote d'Azur, close to the beaches of Cannes, Antibes Juan les Pins and Nice, as well as the little sandy coves of Theoule sur Mer. It is easy to reach the beautiful towns along the coast such as Antibes or Nice, either by using the efficient rail service or by driving along the beautiful coastal roads.

The Le Bar Sur Loup area

The villa is about 5 minutes walk from the pretty village of Le Bar-sur-Loup with its bakery, news agent, chemist, library, church, small supermarket and restaurants. It is about 7 minutes from the larger shopping area of Chateauneuf (bank, bookshop, big supermarket etc.) The lively, medieval town of Valbonne is about 15 minutes away and has many restaurants, art galleries, antique shops and a buzzing Friday market. At about the same distance is Tourrettes sur Loup and the larger towns of Vence and Grasse – perfume capital of the Côte d’Azur. Situated between the sea and the mountains, the villa has easy access to both. For beaches there is a choice of Antibes, Cannes, La Napoule or the quieter little sandy coves of Theoule-sur-Mer – all within an approx-30 minute drive away.

There are some truly spectacular walks in the mountains around the Gorges du Loup and lovely picnic spots along the river. Activities available locally include cycling, horse riding, hang gliding and para gliding (beginners welcome) and in winter, skiing at Greolières les Neiges. There are several quality golf courses nearby (10-15 mins) and a local tennis club five minutes walk away which can be booked daily.
