This beautiful country house with its own private swimming pool sits in three acres of grounds in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne countryside. It has recently been restored to a very high standard and all windows and doors are solid oak. Totally private and independent from any other properties, Faugereau is just twenty five kilometres from Bergerac airport and three kilometres from the quiet market town of Lauzun. Our sole aim has been to make it the perfect venue for a relaxing holiday.
Faugerau has six large bedrooms and five bathrooms.
GROUND FLOOR: The sitting room has a magnificent stone fireplace, bags of character and comfortable sofas and chairs where you can relax out of the sun and watch English satellite television or DVD’s.
The huge refectory room has a fully fitted kitchen at one end, and at the other a solid oak dining table with matching chairs that seats 12 plus. In between the two, french windows lead out onto the garden.
There is one bathroom on the ground floor, and next to it a double bedroom with french windows leading out on to the lawn right beside the steps to the pool. The 11 X 5 metre pool is fenced off from the house for your children’s safety.
There are five bedrooms upstairs. Two double bedrooms which both have new kingsize beds and en suite fully tiled bathrooms. There is one twin bedroom with a private bathroom, and two more twins which share the fifth bathroom. Please note that an extra bed can be added to the twin bedrooms if desired for a supplementary fee.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne region
We are very lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful undulating countryside, definitely a hit with budding artists where there is never have a shortage of things to paint, especially the magnificent views and the glorious sunflowers when they are in season.
The Lot et Garonne and the Dordogne provide a fun day out on the river in canoes for the adventurous, or a leisure boat for those who want to take life a bit easier. What ever you choose to do, you will find the locals charming and friendly, and always eager to help wherever they can.
Lauzun area
A quiet market town, Lauzun has a good restaurants, a baker, a small supermarket, and a market on Saturdays. There is a hypermarket 15 minutes away at Miramont, or in Bergerac which is 30 minutes away, and the beautiful town of Villeneuve Sur Lot is around 45 minutes.
All the towns in the area have a market on different days which our guests love to potter around, or just watch the world go by with a glass of wine in their hand.
