About the home

This beautiful, tranquil property is 25k south of the Dordogne River amid gently rolling hills, orchards and vineyards. The cottage is in a large garden with far reaching views. There is a barbecue, outdoor furniture and sun umbrella, table tennis, table football, swings and bikes for your use.
Le Prunier is within easy reach of many Bastide towns - Castillonnes, Eymet, Monpazier and Monflanquin amongst them, also the medieval town of Issigeac.
Lastly, and importantly, there is a large 12 x 6m swimming pool (shared, occasionally, with owners only) which is gated and alarmed for your safety with sun loungers and umbrellas.
Steve and Linda (owners), will be on site to welcome you and offer any help you may need.

In the last eighteen months we have upgraded Le Prunier with an en-suite showeroom to one of the double bedrooms and new units in the fully equipped kitchen.

There is table tennis, table football, boule plus bikes (at owners risk) for the active!
Owners on site to greet you and offer any assistance you may need during your stay.
We can arrange to supply some provisions if you are arriving when the shops are closed, just let us know your requirements in advance..

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne region

Lalandusse is a small hamlet in the heart of the French countryside, 25k south of Bergerac and just 6k from the Bastide town of Castillonnes. It is within easy reach of 13th century fortifications such as Monpazier, Eymet, Monflanquin and Villereal also the medieval town of Issigeac.
Most mornings a colourful market can be found in one or other of the local towns with a larger one in Bergerac on Saturdays. All small towns have their traditional summer fetes which are advertised locally - normally under your car windscreen wipers when parked!! Failing that, Castillonnes has a good Information Office in the centre square.
There are many good local restaurants - recommendations can be found in the Visitors' Book or just ask Steve and Linda for the current favourites.

The Lauzun area

18 hole Golf Courses at Chateau des Vigiers and Castlenaud and nine holes at Tombeboeuf.
Aquapark on Route de Bordeaux out of Bergerac.
Canoeing on the Dordogne, Lot and Vezere Rivers.
Beach at Arcachon (2 hours away).
Local stables for riding enthusiasts.
Summer Bodegas in most towns and travelling Medieval Festival throughout late July/August.
Slightly further afield caves at Lascaux, Eyzies, Domme.
Fishing within walking distance (with permit).

Property is 20k from Bergerac Airport. Flybe from Southampton, Leeds, Exeter and Bristol or Ryanair from Stansted and Birmingham. Main airlines fly into Toulouse, Limoges and Bordeaux. We will give directions from these airports.
For those crossing by ferry or Eurotunnel directions will also, of course, be supplied.
Train Services are via Paris or Lille to Bordeaux and change for Bergerac.
All major car hire companies operate out of Bergerac Airport and Train Station.

Full payment required 8 weeks prior to holiday plus £200.00 returnable damage/excess cleaning deposit.

Bookings within 8 weeks of holiday payable in full at time of booking.

Payment accepted in Sterling or Euros and can be made by cheque or bank transfer.

Changeover day is SATURDAY but we can be flexible, depending on bookings.
