We found the property extremely well presented and although the pictures on the web-site looked good we felt they really did not do it justice. You approach the villa up a long private drive and the house nestles with its back to a beautiful wood with far reaching views over the lovely countryside to the north, east and south. The rooms were very tastefully decorated with everything in good order - a real home from home (just tidier!). There are 3 good sized double bedrooms, 2 en-suite and one with twin beds - all had lovely views from shuttered windows. Downstairs was spacious and comfortable and there is an extremely well fitted and equipped kitchen. There is also a video recorder, DVD, satelite TV and a good library of films for the whole family. We brought our own books but there was a good selection in the house. No need to bring any games either - more than enough for all ages on site. Outside was particularly special. As well as glorious views there was real seclusion, aside from a few low flying light aircraft (sky-diving school near by) we were not disturbed/over-looked/bothered by anyone (save the man who came to clean the pool mid-week). There were several terraces, a BBQ, extensive grounds and a very private pool. In addition, we made use of boules, table tennis (inside a charming old barn) and a basketball net. If you're going as a couple it's romantic - if you're going as a family there's more than enough to keep the youngsters occupied. The bottom line is that this is an absolutely fantastic spot and we had a wonderful stay. All the arrangements with the owners worked out fine too and we definitely hope to go back. |
