"Wonderful stay in a marvellous gite"
This must have been the warmest welcome and the friendliest hosts we've ever had on AirBnB. Tom and Sheda are wonderful people who did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. Sheda even brought us a jar of her home-made plum jam and we've enjoyed an evening of "appero" (French aperitifs) with them. The gite is absolutely great: it's very clean, well-equipped and is perfectly situated. The surroundings are very quiet but the nearest village and the nearest super-market are only a few minutes away. The Tarn département (where the gite is located) is full of things to do (especially a lot of Middle Age historic sites) and Tom and Sheda provided information brochures on everything. All in all we had a great stay in this wonderful gite!

"South West France at its best"
We spent a very comfortable and memorable week at the beginning of July with Tom and Sheda. The gite was really well equipped and had everything to make your holiday as pleasant as possible. The garden with its fruit trees and a sense of being next to nature made it a great place to unwind. The weather was not great to begin with but soon brightened up. The fully equipped kitchen meant visiting the local markets was a joy as you could cook up some real French produce. The courtyard outside the gite became warm and inviting and an early evening beer or some rose was had most nights. Tom and Sheda are great hosts and we spoke most days with advice about what was on and what were the most interesting places to visit; it was though their advice about living in France that will be our abiding memory. They told it like it was but clearly they were thriving in the sunshine of the Southern Tarn. The surrounding countryside, which is there on the doorstep, is stunning and a couple of meanders along the back lanes sold this as a wonderful place to visit and possibly even eventually to live. Being a stones throw from both Lautrec and Castres is also a real bonus with Gaillac and Albi not that much further. We would return to just kick back and relax in this beautiful gite in a very beautiful part of France.

We spent a week mid. May at Tom & Sheda's & while the weather was unseasonaly cool, the Gite was a very comfy & cozy refuge to come home to at the end of the day. Very well appointed with good quality linen & unobtrusive & generous hosts on site who ensured our stay was both pleasant & memorable. A good central location for touring & quiet rural roads for walking & cycling. Plenty to see or do in the region, or if we just wanted to relax, the Gite was a great place to be. Thanks again Tom & Sheda.

Howdy, from Houston, TX, USA. We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Savages' gite! We spent a month in France, seven days of which were spent at this gite...and now that we are back, have decided that we wish we could have spent the entire month there. The Savages are SUCH kind, helpful, and amazing people. Every single detail was attended to with utmost care. If we needed ANYTHING, they made sure we got it within minutes, It was like having a concierge service/loving parent all rolled up into one. Although people told us there was not much to do in Lautrec, we ended up having the best time doing more there than even Toulouse! Tom and Sheda really made us fall in love with the Lautrec area and we will certainly be back. The gite itself is lovely (I just wanted to move in permanently), and OH MY GOD the bed is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! The best way I could describe it is that tit combines modern conveniences and luxury spa touches in a rustic setting, away from it all, complete with a fruit-bearing garden and plenty of outdoor entertaining space. On top of it all, I was in need of a facial and was able to get one from Sheda, since she does massages and facial! This place gets a 10 from me! Hope to stay here again in the not-too-distant future!!!

"Top quality Gites and superb hospitality in a very beautiful region of France"
This was not the only time we have had the pleasure of staying in Tom and Sheda's beautiful accommodation near Lautrec in the South Tarn. Previously we had been in the summer when the weather was typically warm with long evenings to relax in the tranquil surroundings provided outside the gite. This time we were there in the depth of winter, however the facilities which work so well in the summer also provided sumptuous comfort with real log burners keeping the gite warm and cosy day and night. Other heating was also provided though we found no need to use it and there is no lack of piping hot water. We have stayed in both of the Gites at different times and the quality of the accommodation cannot be overstated; spacious, very clean and well equipped and beautifully furnished, they really are very good value for money and provide a wonderful base for seeing the surrounding region as well as somewhere you can really relax and pass many a pleasant day. Tom and Sheda are perfect hosts; welcoming, friendly, very knowledgeable about the surrounding region and all the things to see and do there plus very good company as we discovered when taking the opportunity to eat and drink with them during the course of our stay. We also discovered that Tom is a very accomplished cook, using fresh produce from the markets in Castre and local villages to russle up quite delightful food (and wine). All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stays both summer and winter and have no hesitation in saying we will be back!
