Hunter Moon Country House

Located in beautiful Broke Fordwich in the Hunter Valley, this spectacular peaceful 25 acre property offers an eight bedroom and six bathroom luxurious Country House with a magnificent backdrop of the Brokenback Mountain range and vineyards. Hunter Moon is minutes from the village of Broke and a 5 minute drive to some of the eleven of the best cellar doors in the Hunter Valley and 3 fabulous restaurants including the award winning Margan cellar door and restaurant and a short 15 minute drive to the Hunter Valley Gardens.

As you enter the circular driveway, you are greeted by this stunning Country House with beautiful gardens fabulous rotunda and views to mountains and paddocks. Hunter Moon looks over a tranquil dam full of water lilies and wildlife and the sensory garden includes many plants that you can touch, smell, feel and eat. The heavenly smell of roses, lavender, gardenias, oranges, mandarins, cumquats and rosemary immediately relaxes you as you enter this special space.

Hunter Moon has been created with larger groups in mind and nothing has been left to chance. The quality finishes and high ceilings give the house a feeling of great space. The house has been stylishly furnished with many original and unique pieces from around the world.

Hunter Moon boasts a modern fully equipped kitchen and multiple internal and external dining options, a large fireplace, ducted air-conditioning, free WIFI, Foxtel and Xbox. The icing on the cake is a huge 10 person spa that can be set to hot or cold and a spacious deck with a large lawn area for games, yoga or cricket.

Hunter Moon will accommodate up to 23 guests across 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, one of which has a fully disabled bathroom. The media room can be converted to a ninth bedroom if required.

The property backs onto the Wollembi Creek where you can cast a line or paddle around. There is a large dam where we have a couple of kayaks which can keep the kids amused. We often have horses, kangaroos and wombats on the property.

There is a media room provides Foxtel/Netflix, Xbox, Books, DVD’s and a wonderful fireplace. It also has a stereo and blue tooth sound system to complete your entertainment needs. We have another smart TV in the main dining room suitable for presentations of that special birthday celebration, or company conference.

The indoor dining area can be set up to accommodate 20 at the table and 23 on the deck. There is a large BBQ area with BBQ's and the kitchen has a stand alone 90cm cooktop and oven, 2 Fridge/freezers, one with filtered water and ice, large crock pot, microwave, Juicer, Nutri Bullet, Blender, Sandwich Press Machine, 2 Coffee Pod machines, kettle, large toaster, rice cooker plus complete utensils, servers, bowls and everything you would need to cook up a storm for a large crowd.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

We provide a selection of Nespresso Pods (about two pods per person) plus teas, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, cling wrap, foil and baking paper, paper towels, dishwashing tabs, washing up liquid, spray and wipe, laundry detergent, scrubs, tea towels, medical kit. Also toilet paper, artisan shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each bathroom plus a 6 hair dryers and 2 hair straighteners.

Included for your stay is complimentary wine, olive oil and artisan soaps from the area.

All beds are made to hotel standards and includes linen and one towel per person.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Colette (the owner) a message.

If Colette (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
