About this location
The Paphos District
The area of Paphos is an archaeological paradise for any visitor with sites to be seen such as Paphos Medieval Byzantine Castle, The House of Dionysos and St Paul's Pillar naming just a few. The tourist area of Kato Paphos stretches along the shoreline and in the picturesque harbour you will find an abundance of restaurants, tavernas, bars, banks and shops. Leading towards the south-west of the harbour you will find the popular area of Tomb of the Kings where you will find all amenities one would require.
The beach resort of Coral Bay is approximately 20 minutes' drive away whilst the harbour area of Paphos is approximately 30 minute's drive away. The blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea lap the rugged coastline which overlooks the shipwreck - a well known local landmark.
A car hire is highly recommended for all our villas to help you make the most of your stay.
Coral Bay is the well known beach resort for the Paphos district. This family oriented area has become a lively resort with plenty to offer in terms of amenities and activities. The resort boasts two sandy beaches, the busier of the two being the popular Coral Bay Beach, a sandy horseshoe shaped bay honoured with a Blue Flag of the European Union. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire, watersports are on offer and there are two beach cafés providing refreshments. A little further along the coast is the quieter of the two beaches at Corallia Bay. Continue still further along the coast and you reach the natural rock caves of the area known locally as Sea Caves, an area which provides ideal snorkelling territory and is popular with local scuba diving schools.
Paphos Town once the capital of the island is now included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world's heritage. The remains of villas, palaces, theatres, fortresses and tombs mean that the town is of exceptional architectural and historic value. The well preserved mosaics and the Tombs of the Kings is probably the biggest cultural draw with further archaeological discoveries continually being made. Pano Paphos on the cliff is the main administrative centre and residential district while Kato Paphos, by the sea, is the main tourist area built around the harbour and medieval port.
Exploring Coral Bay, Paphos and everywhere in between, increases the list of available activities and attractions to include mini golf, watersports, go-karting, horse riding, a snooker hall, bowling alley, heritage sites, modern shopping facilities, a waterpark and the Paphos Bird and Animal Park.
There are 3 golf courses; Tsada Golf Course, Secret Valley Golf Course and Aphrodite Hills Golf Course within approximately 30 minutes drive.
As with all beaches near Latchi, the water is as clear as it's possible to be. The expanse of sand and pebbles seems to go on forever and all framed by the mountains in the distance.
Latchi's once tiny fishing harbour has been transformed into a modern marina, but it's still kept its laid back charm. Old stone fronted fish warehouses have been turned into restaurants, tavernas, shops and places of recreation. Mouth watering fresh fish comes straight off the boats and onto the grills of the eateries lining the harbour and beach front.
