Our home is part of a small gated community (controlled access) and is furnished to a high standard. There are 2 bedrooms, (1 double and 2 single beds). The house has internet connection, air con, satellite TV, and DVD player, sun patio (downstairs) and large balcony from the master bedroom. The very private community pool is across from the house. With bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, 2 showers and a bath are available. The well equipped kitchen contains all cooking facilities, fridge freezer, and microwave, with a separate utility area with a washing machine. Towels and bedding are provided for use within the house and pool area. A travel cot is available for younger guests .

A sun patio with a table and 4 chairs is downstairs for outdoor dining, and on the upstairs terrace is a small table with 2 chairs, and 2 sun loungers. The private pool for used by home owners and guests only is across from the house.

The community has controlled access via electric gates, and parking on site is limited. However, road side parking is freely available.

The Canary Islands region

Close to Villamartin are numerous beaches with magnificent views over the sparkling blue Mediterranean and the “white sand” that is typical of the Costa Blanca. The beaches along the coastline close to Villamartin are Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, and Campoamor. All of these beaches and all the other major beaches along this part of the Mediterranean coastline are consistently awarded the European Blue Flag which is your guarantee of high standards and facilities for the whole family. A 15 minute drive takes you to the beautiful Guardamar Beaches Stretching For 14km Of The Southern Costa Blanca

Alternatively, drive south for 20 mins and bathe in the therapeutic Mar Menor.

In a climate that enjoys 320 days of sunshine a year, our home is ideally situated for a relaxing beach holiday, taking advantage of the numerous golf courses, or for exploring the surrounding area.

Las Filipinas

Villamartin is ideally placed to cater for family holidays and also golfers, having easy access not only to the course at Villamartin, but also to Las Ramblas, Campoamor, and the new Las Colinas. Further afield, La Marquesa and La Finca courses are only approximately 15-20 minutes away, and the famous course at La Manga is approximately a 30 minute drive South. The golden sandy beach at La Zenia is only a 5 minute drive.  

Villamartin Plaza is a 15 minute walk offering an extensive range of bars and restaurants catering for all, and La Fuente commercial centre has a good choice of bars and restaurants a short walk away. There is also a fully stocked supermarket for your convenience.

September 2012 saw the opening of Zenia Boulevard. With over 150 shops and 5,000 free parking spaces, it is the biggest shopping center in the province of Alicante, is a 5 minute drive from the house, and well worth a visit.

"Home from Home"

My husband and our 3 children aged 5,2 &1 stayed here for a week in August and we had a brilliant time. It is a beautiful home with everything you could possibly need. One of our particular favourite things was the free Wifi. The house itself is immaculate and in a perfect location to access all areas. We are hoping to return next year! Thank you!

"Home from home, in great location for families."

Lovely villa with everything you need for a family holiday. Quiet urbanisation but with everything on hand.
Loads of places of interest nearby and plenty of facilities on-hand.
Have already booked another week in the summer.
La Zenia beach is perfect for families.
A wonderful time had by Mum, Dad, 10 year old daughter and Granny!

"Absolutely perfect location for relaxing or exploring surrounding area"

Myself, husband, son his girfriend and 2 year old daughter rented in August 2011. The accommodation was very well equipped, spotless and had everything we needed. The 2 outside areas gave us space when we needed it, plus a downstairs shower room was a godsend when returning from the beach! We enjoy the security of the gated community and pool which allows us to relax with a little one. The local bars are within easy walking distance, although we did require the buggy for my grandaughter. The Plaza is also a pleasant walk in the evening when the sun has gone down where there is an abundance of restaurants, entertainment and generally a fun atmosphere. The market at San Miguel was perfect and sold lovely fresh produce as well as bargain souvenirs. Should you find anything 'missing' for your needs the nearby supermarket has everything as do the shops in San Miguel where there is also a hole in the wall bank. A 30 minute drive to Orheliu allows you to take a train into Murcia or Alicante for a stress free 20 minute ride for about 5 euros return! We enjoy the whole area very much and are going again this summer and taking my 79 year young mum and 4 year old grandaughter too!

"Perfect Spanish retreat."

My husband and I used this villa as a location to explore the surrounding area by car. The villa is as attractive as advertised, very clean and well furnished throughout. A credit to its owners, with welcoming homely touches including advise on places to visit and local activities. We particularly enjoyed the upstairs sun terrace, lovely spot for breakfast or an evening glass of wine. The communal pool was usually a quiet spot, and rarely had to be shared.

Would certainly recommend to friends and would happily visit again.

"Perfect Golf Trip"

Myself and 3 friends went on a golf break to Costa Blanca in April of last year, and "My Spanish Home" was absolutely perfect for our needs. There are several restaurants, bars, mini markets and a supermarket within a 10 minute walk from the house. There was also several good beaches which were only a 10-15 minute drive away. The house is within 5 minutes of the 3 golf courses which we played (Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Colinas). The temperature was perfect for golf (nice but not too hot). The house was easy to find from the directions given, and only 20 minutes from Murcia Airport. We went to the pool every morning to relax before golf, it is advertised as communal but we practically had the exclusive use of it as there was never anyone else there, which was a nice bonus! I also went the year before with my girlfriend and baby daughter, and we had an equally great time. Being a gated community, it was very secure which was important to me with a young family. I am going again for a week in May with my girlfriend and now not so baby daughter

"A brilliant holiday home with lots to keep everyone happy of all ages"

We all had a brilliant holiday ! I took my teenage children and we had lots to do.We hired a car and explored.Lots of places within walking distance to eat and a supermarket and nearby places in a car.Holiday home had everything we needed and swimming pool was lovely and quiet.A relaxing holiday for all ages and lots of places to visit .

"Great property in an ideal location"

We traveled in a group of 4 comprising a couple and 2 friends. The property was ideally laid out for this with ample open plan living space downstairs and two full bathrooms. I would imagine that this layout would be equally suitable for a young family.

The house was clean, tidy and well equipped, the secure yard out the back was ideal for washing our scuba diving kit (recommend Tony at Max Scuba Diving for this activity). The front balcony made a fantastic open air dining area.The shared pool area was a good size, quiet and featured a large barbecue.

Location wise the property was easily accessible in under an hour from Murcia San Javier but would be feasible from Alicante too. There is plenty to do in the area, La Zenia has a good beach, nearby Torrevieja is a nice town, featuring plenty of cafes and even a shopping mall. Murcia and its neighbouring mountains afford ample opportunities for exploration. A day trip to Santa Pola and Tabarca island is highly recommended and there are a number of pleasant nature parks in the area.

There are plenty of restaurants in the area including a Chinese restaurant within Villa Martin itself, be sure to ask for the schnapps! Lovers of seafood will find plenty of choice.

The owner was a pleasure to deal with and made the booking process an absolute breeze, the neighbours across the road were very helpful and had plenty of suggestions of the best places to go.

Overall a good property in an ideal location for exploring Costa Calida and the Costa Blanca regions. Highly recommended.

There is a new large shopping mall, 'Zenia Boulevard' a 5 minute drive away.
