A charming old Maison d'Maitre with beautiful garden and swimming pool situated right in the centre of Laroque village. Lovely lounge with log fire, patio doors opening onto sun terrace . Kitchen has balcony off, with views of Fort and Church Clock.

4 bedrooms all with lovely aspect over swimming pool, gardens and mountains .To captivate the views and optimise the sunshine we have created various nooks, crannies, balconies, terraces and patio areas in our old vineyard garden.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region

Situated in the southern most corner of France, bordering Spain, the Languedoc-Roussillon area is famous for its Vineyards, Cathar Castles, Medieval Towns and much more offering a wide variety of activities ...... it is an ideal base for hill walkers, historians, wine buffs and water babes !!!
Tourist office, just around the corner from the house offers information on all local activities.......organised tours/day trips, hill walks, art exhibitions.

Laroque des Alberes area

Laroque des Alberes at the foot of the mountains is paradise for hill walkers and cyclists. 15 minutes drive takes you to the Mediterranean beaches at Argeles, Le Racou and Collioure. Local market in Ceret on Saturday morning.......also the Museum of Modern Art is well worth a visit.
Collioure is a truly magical fishing village narrow winding streets, abounding with art galleries, boutiques, waterside cafes and restaurants, surrounded by vine covered hills and overlooked by the Chateaux Royale.
Some dates of note : June 23....Fete de St. Jean .... celebrations throughtout the region.
Aug 15th ... Feast of St. Vincent....... fireworks display in Collioure.....street music and carnival atmosphere.
Wine Tasting Festival in Banyuls takes place in October........ massive BBQ and music on the beach.
