Home description

Enjoy staying at a traditionally built cyprus villa with rooms opening onto a sunny inner courtyard shaded by sun blinds. Only 6 minutes walk from the wonderful palm-tree lined beach with all its bars and restaurants and 5 minutes walk from town centre shops with all major brand names including Zara, Mango, Next etc. A grocery shop, 24-hour bakery, children's park, mini zoo and theatre are within 3 minutes walk. Larnaca itself boasts plenty of historic sites, churches, fabulous restaurants and a harbour but it is an ideal base for exploring the rest of the island including the cooler Troodos mountains, funpacked Ayia Napa with its waterpark, and secluded beaches along the coast. Boat trips to Greek islands, Egypt and Jordan are also accessible.

The Larnaca District

You will be welcomed in sunny Cyprus! The perfect holiday island for sun lovers, beach enthusiasts, water sports fans, and those who love leisurely walks. Cyprus offers historic sites and churches, stunning beaches, the cool pine tree clad Troodos mountains with pretty unspoilt mountain villages where you can see traditional Cyprus life in the local 'kafeneou' (coffee bars), and much more, all within driving distance on the island. There are plenty of boat trips available locally and further afield to the Greek Islands, Egypt, Jordan and Syria. Divers can explore a shipwreck near to Larnaca harbour.

Average temperature from June to September is 32 degrees C. April, May, October and November average 25 degrees C. Driving is on the left hand side, like Britain, with many car rental companies available on your doorstep. Taxis are plentiful and buses (picked up from seafront) connect the main towns of Cyprus.

Larnaca area

Larnaca is a very cosmopolitan town. Sophisticated bars and restaurants, the palm tree lined beach and harbour are all within walking distance. Cultural events take place at the local theatre and there is always something going on at the beachfront (Finikoudes). St Lazarus Church and the old Fort are worth exploring along with the Mosque at Tekke near the salt lakes, home to flamingos in the spring! The town centre shopping area has all major brands and plenty more besides!

- Fly to Larnaca airport (cheap airlines include monarch.co.uk)
- Property is 5 minutes in a taxi from the airport and costs approx CYP£7 (12 euros)
- 24 hour taxi rank outside airport
- Book cheap car hire from easycar.co.uk or monarch.co.uk and pick up your car from the airport after your arrival.
