Home description

Maroni is a delightful village set apart from the usual tourist tracks, offering the perfect base for touring this lovely Mediterranean Island, situated as it is midway between the 3 major Towns of Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca, each only 25 minutes drive away.

Set on the edge of a dry river valley and surrounded by gentle rolling hills with views to the south of the sea, a 2 minute drive or ½ hour walk to sandy beaches, and to the north of the Troodos Mountain Range and ski slopes, an hours drive away.

The neighbouring Village of Zyggi is famous for its waterside Fish Tavernas, and many other surrounding villages all have their own delightful Tavernas offering warm hospitality and good local food.
Maroni boasts a supermarket, Bank, Post Office, Hairdresser and Beautician.

We have taken an old stone village house, lovingly renovated it to a very high standard, created a haven of peace and tranquillity with wonderful views. It is ideal for walkers, artists, cyclists, photographers, archaeologists and sun worshippers.

There is a top quality Golf course at Secret Valley just a 45 minute drive away.

Peace. Perfect, unspoilt peace.

The Larnaca District

Cyprus lies at the cross roads of 3 continents where East meets West.

Where championship golf courses, sandy beaches, turquoise waters and breathtaking mountain regions lure you to explore and enjoy.

Experience one of the oldest civilisations of the world going back 10.000 years. Steeped in Mythology, called the Island of Aphrodite or Love.

Cyprus is a large open air Museum where you can see evidence of it's fascinating past formed by different civilisations everywhere.

Cyprus is the largest island in the eastern Mediterranean.
It has a typical Mediterranean climate but its proximity to the land-mass of south west Asia makes it one of the hottest parts of the Mediterranean in midsummer. This applies particularly to the central plain and the coastal regions.

Summers are hot or warm, depending on altitude, and almost completely rainless from late May to mid-September. During this period the weather is constant from day to day and almost completely cloudless.

You are the most hospitable people on the planet! We've been in a special and wonderful place these last 2 weeks. Breakfast outside in the sun we will never forget. This is a magical B&B'.
John and Sue – Brussels

‘Service so intuitive you hardly notice it and hospitality that made us feel so at home…to feel both like a guest and part of the family at the same time is a rare and very special quality that Clive and Elsa take to new levels. From breakfast in our robes to evenings in a candlelit garden, making reservations in top restaurants and little Tavernas, to a choice of home cooked lunches in the shade. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making our holiday such a perfect experience. We will be back'.
Kevin and De – Brighton

This Oasis is good for the body and soul...we hope to come again...we need to!
