Originally intended to be the owners summer home, this villa can truly claim 'one of a kind' status as it has been specifically designed by it's artist / architect owner to his personal taste. The isolation of this villa allows it to enjoy complete privacy in a serene and tranquil location which would be difficult to rival. A combination of the artist's own work and memoribillia from travels all over the world results in an eclectic decor and a vast collection of displayed objects reflecting the distinctive character of both the owner and the property.
A compact kitchen is well equipped with all modern conveniences including a washing machine located on the basement level. The living area has the unusual feature of a raised ceiling with hidden lighting. The cosy working fireplace is surrounded by a combination of comfortable sofas and period furniture. Entertainment is provided by the large 52 inch television with home cinema and surround sound, DVD player, music centre and piano. A spacious double bedroom with wooden parquet flooring is located on this floor along with a small shower room.
Stairs lead to the basement level where a games room is found complete with table tennis, selection of board games, children's toys and a keyboard. A small shower room is also located on this level.
Two further bedrooms are located on the first floor, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom both sharing a small shower room. A further twin bedroom and double bedroom are located on the ground floor and accessed externally from the living area. This double bedroom has a mezzanine level with a sloped ceiling, accessed by a solid wooden ladder to reach the two twin beds (suitable for children under 12 years only). This bedroom is also equipped with a television. These two bedrooms share a small shower room.
All five bedrooms, the living area and the kitchen have air conditioning units *. Central heating throughout.

The Larnaca District
Larnaca was once the main port of Cyprus and the wealth still shows in some very beautiful and gracious buildings in the old town. Larnaca has a very interesting salt lake which in spring is pink with flamingos. Like Paphos and Limassol, Larnaca has developed into a busy resort with many hotels and apartments built on the beaches that stretch away from the town. The town is a very central spot on the island and an ideal base from which to visit Nicosia, Limassol, Protaras and Ayia Napa and even Paphos which is a two hour drive away along the excellent new motorway. Larnaca has a very traditional, palm fringed harbour promenade and a very large marina. There is a wealth of historical interest around the town including the church of St Lazarus, the Teke muslim shrine, Kiti church and the monastery of Stavrovouni.
Larnaca / Maroni area
The nearest taverna is a mere 200 metres away with the larger village of Zygi, famed for its excellent seafood tavernas being 2 kilometres away. As a base for exploring Cyprus, Maroni is ideally positioned only a 20 minute drive from both Limassol and Larnaca and a 30 minute drive from the island's capital of Nicosia. The immediate area features a natural coastline of largely dark sand and shingle coves, whilst the nearest dark sand beach with organised facilities is Governors beach which is within a 15 minute drive.

Further details outdoors: As this is an older, established property the beautifully tended grounds have had time to mature and are now bursting with vibrant colour and fragrance. The large freeform swimming pool is surrounded by naturally shaded areas which provide the perfect respite from the midday summer heat. A wooden deck with seating extends partially over the swimming pool, underneath which you'll find a submerged ledge. A built in barbecue is provided allowing you to enjoy summer dining al fresco and at the edge of the villa's small private olive grove is a basketball hoop for the more energetic holidaymaker.

Olsen - June 2009 - A little surprised by the villa on arrival, so many nick nacks, ornaments etc but then as a previous reviewer said it is the owners home so that's why they have their personal effects on display, and we became used to seeing them after a few days. Thoroughly enjoyed the large grounds, great for having BBQs! The shower rooms were very small, but perfectly functional it just may have been difficult if we'd had small children with us who need supervision because there's limited room. Hutchens - April 2009 - We can see why the villa may not be to everybody's taste, but then you have to accept that it's the owners holiday home. We actually thought it was lovely, the kitchen is tiny but then we didn't go on holiday planning to spend much time slaving over a hot stove! Breakfast and a sandwich at lunchtime was about all we managed and we drove to Zygi in the evenings. The outdoor area is fantastic, great sized pool, huge garden and plenty of room to spread out. Tegg - 31/05/2008 - The best holiday we've ever had, even pleasing teenagers as well as adults. The owner Lakis and his wife were most helpful, and a welcome meal laid out for us on arrival was the icing on the cake.
