The Larnaca District
Larnaca is a very pleasant town with its own marina and delightful promenade lined with Palm trees. with its Cafes, Bars and Restaurants over looking the beach area. Larnaca offers a good range of shops, and entertainment, with main route links to all parts of Cyprus where history and relaxation go hand in hand. It truly has something for everyone - Of course not forgetting the designer shops for those holiday treats.

Larnaca is a town with an easy-going pace and has strong links to the past. In the heart of modern Larnaca one finds the remains of the ancient city - kingdom of Kition. The fort and the old quarters give the town its unique character. The nearby salt lake is a favourite stop over for thousands of migrating birds in winter such as flamingo's. Every summer Larnaca hosts a festival of music and performing arts. Outdoor concerts take place in the courtyard of the medieval fort. Local activities include many watersports and a great centre for Diving.

We had a fabulous time - I loved being able to get a sunbed anytime of the day and the locals in the village love to chat and are so happy - then who would'nt be living in Cyprus . Mr Penkridge - Gloucester.
