The Central Scotland/Edinburgh region
Largs is situated in northern side of the lovely Ayrshire coast. Ayrshire or 'Burns country' (as it was the home of the famous poet Rabbie Burns) has lovely towns and countryside to explore and is also a good base for exploring the Isles Cumbrae, Arran, Bute and also the Kyle peninsula. Glasgow can be reached in 40 minutes by car or 55 minutes by rail.
Largs area
Largs is a beautiful coastal town in Ayrshire. It is very popular with 'day trippers' and longer holiday stays and during the summer and other holidays can be a very busy 'bustling' town. This is due to the spectacular scenery, the facilites and the general friendly atmosphere of the town.
How to get there
-Easy access from both Glasgow and Prestwick Airports. Glasgow airport is a 30 minute drive west and Prestwick airport is 35 minutes drive north.
-Rail and bus journeys to Largs from both airports are available. The house is 10 minutes walk from the railway station. There is a bus stop a few minutes walk from the house.
-Ferry links to the islands are at Largs, Ardrossan, Wemyss Bay and Gourock - all within 20 minutes drive.

Further details outdoors: A private driveway leads to the front garden that is well kept with small shrubs and flowers and a lawn area. The front garden is sunny in the morning and early afternoon. The rear garden has a larger lawn, is also maintained well and has a selection of shrubs hedging and trees. Also in the rear of the house there is a decked patio area that has a table and four chairs for you to dine al fresco, perhaps using the barbecue supplied.

There is a basic welcome pack provided, for your arrival. Additional items you would like supplied may be able to be provided on request. Travel to/from airports can also be arranged. The owners live only 300 metres away and are able to answer any questions .
Conditions
During July and August, generally changeover days are a Saturday, however they can be any day for the rest of the year.
