A Victorian sea front house with outstanding scenery and panoramic views of the Firth of Clyde, Islands of Arran, Cumbrae, and Bute....and a hot tub with the best views in Scotland!

Formally a Bishops home, a convent and a religious retreat - now it's really a heavenly experience for your special occasion!

Fantastic introductory 2014 opening offer of complimentary 6 course dining for one evening (groups in excess of 18 will be given hot buffet, canapes and drinks service) as well as Molton Brown spa treatments for stays during 2014. Great after a dip in the private hot tub (with built in music system and mood lights.

This 9 bedroom house is situated in Skelmorlie, North Ayrshire. Within 4 miles of the lively tourist town of Largs, a popular seaside resort, hosting all leisure activities, whether it be a choice of 2 Golf courses, a variety of all water sports including diving & sailing (2 marinas locally), nature watching, cycling, hill or beach side promenade walking and shopping. There are also numerous bars and restaurants in Largs and children's entertainment facilities, Kelburn Country Park , arcades, crazy golf, Vikingar etc.

The house is right on the sea front with a bus stop outside the front door and comprises on the first floor 9 bedrooms.

Bookings up to 18 persons for 2014 year and 24 persons for 2015 onwards.

On the first floor with bedrooms is 1 bathroom with shower, a separate shower rooms (both with toilets) and another toilet room.

On the ground floor there is a lounge with 3 sofas, library with pool table and 2 sofas, large kitchen and separate dining room, fitness/therapy room and and extra toilet as well as an extra shower room, again with toilet.

The therapy and fitness room has treadmill, step, kettlebells and free weights.

There is also a large lawn area suitable for a marquee and lots of parking.

The house is fully equipped and has everything you need for a perfect holiday break - Egyptian cotton bedding and towels, Molton Brown goodies, Plasma TV with playstation 3, WiFI, subscription to Netflix, Sound system, you name it.

What's more included in the rental prices for 2014 are:

Chilled bottle of bubbly in the fridge for your arrival

Bathrobes, bath towel and flipflops for use during your stay

Molton Brown spa treatments (facials, massages,hot stones, holistic therapy etc)

In-house 6 course dining for one night (hot buffet, canapes supplied for groups of 19 or more)

Use of hot tub (except during dining)

Both the treatments and dining are carried out on in the house. There is 7 hours of spa time included with treatments lasting 30 mins or 45 mins, which allows you to mix and match according to your size of group. For weekend only bookings, the treatments are usually carried out Fridays between 3pm and 10pm, sometimes with 2 therapists. Extra treatments can be purchased. Dining is provided on the Saturday night at 730pm. Information brochures will be sent to you following requests for information.

The smaller house adjacent to the property is the owner's holiday home. They are therefore usually there at weekends and school holidays to help with anything you need. Housekeeping staff are within a short drive from the property.

"Fabulous house for large gathering"

We stayed at The old Nunnery during the first weekend in June . There was 18 of us in out party ,10 adults,8 children and four dogs !! . The view from the house was superb , looking out onto the sea .… More

We had just opened a few weeks when you arrived and have already implemented some changes, such as 2 treatment couches, 2 therapists working at same time etc. Thanks for the tip about extra TV in games room - good idea.
