The Central England/Cotswolds region

Solihull offers something to suit everyone from handmade crafts to high class fashion.

The town centre consists of a thoughtful blend of indoor and outdoor retailers with its picturesque pedestrianized High Street, Mell Square Shopping Centre and Touchwood.

Town Centre Shopping

Mell Square Shopping Centre has an attractive open air environment and enviable blend of over 90 stores including major names, most of which are open 7 days a week. In nearby Drury Lane is a delight mix of specialist independent shops where you can buy exclusive designer labels.

Touchwood comprises three naturally lit arcades with contemporary architecture and luxurious leather sofas. Home to the West Midlands only John Lewis store there are over 80 stores, a multi-screen cinema complex and a host of bars and restaurants. Touchwood also provides family facilities, web services, a quiet room and chaplaincy service.

Regular Markets featuring both French goods and Farmers produce take place in both Solihull Town Centre. Craft Centres

Knowle has many shops. Most of these are located on the High Street, though there are a number of side roads and a shopping precinct. Knowle Library is maintained by Solihull Council in a building called Chester House dating back to Tudor times. At the rear of the building a Knot garden has been restored. The small shopping area also has restaurants of all varieties, making Knowle a popular destination for dining out. In 2011 a Costa Coffee opened on the High Street and plans for a new Waitrose store have been put forward.
