About the home

Caretta Caretta is a single storey three bedroom villa built on the outskirts of the village of Kayalar. It has beautiful views of the coast and mountains. The villa is light and airey, with a bbq terrace, and a large private pool with private gardens and garden and pool lights,pool furniture and a gazebo.

The villa is furnished to a high standard with a Mediterranean slant. There are several icons decorating the villa which gives it a true island feel. Ideal villa for a relaxing holiday

There is a large fully fitted kitchen with granite work surfaces, fridge freezer and dishwasher. A washing machine is in the utility room. A refridgerated water cooler is being installed this May.

Furnishings are colourful and comfortable giving the villa a light and airey atmosphere.

There is a large hand made stone table on the bbq terrace great for night-time entertaining.

The villa Caretta Caretta is built in a lovely location, and has an open planned living area, with three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The sitting area has panoramic views of the mountains and sea and the dining area opens onto a breakfast terrace overlooking the large private infinity pool which has lighting, as does the garden - for those midnight dips. The luxuary of having your own pool is wonderful.

Air Conditioning Units are now in all bedrooms for your comfort.

A gazebo has recently been built to offer extra shade around the pool area. There are some pool toys in the utility room which you are most welcome to use.



There is a BBQ terrace just off from the kitchen which has stone table and chairs where you can enjoy your supper under the stars.

The villa has been furnished to offer friends, relatives and clients a high standard of comfort so that it is a pleasure to be there.

There are some icons on the wall in the living area which is in keeping with the history of the island.

There is CD player, a selection of CDs, books and board games in case you get bored looking at the view!!

Fly screens have been fitted to most of the windows which allows you to open the windows at night to enjoy the gentle sea breezes.

Further details outdoors:
The villa is in one level, with a private infinity swimming pool, garden with shrubs, flowers and fruit trees. Poolside sun loungers and two outside dining terraces make the garden a comfortable place to relax , read, eat and swim. There is parking for about thee cars.

The garden also has two old olive trees and wow factor views over the coast line and of the mountains. Small sandy cove just a few minutes walk way and down some steps. If you get up at 5.30 and see the sun rise if is unforgetable.

The pool is cleaned twice weekly and is a non clorine pool - so much kinder to swim in.

please only use the air conditioners in the bedrooms when you are in them and with doors closed. Electricity is very expensive on the Island.

Conditions

EVERYTHING IS MADE EASY FOR YOU - once you have booked your flights, confirm with me and I will do the rest. Taxi pickup, car hire, booster seats, highchairs. All you have to do is pack a case and arrive. There will be a welcome pack for you, the rental car will be in the drive - and so your holiday begins.

The price quoted per week is the price you pay. If you book before the end of January I give a £50 discount off the booking.

All Car Hire arranged if you wish, very reasonable and they will give you a free transfer from the airport and villa. Children car seats can also be booked.

Because Northern Cyprus is a non Euro zone - prices in the island are very reasonable. Turkish Lira is the Currency.

The Kyrenia region

Northern Cyprus enjoys long hot summers with a multitude of sandy beaches. The closest being just a few minutes walk away. There are several castles, and along the Karpas peninsular where the road skirts the sea there are ruined churches to explore, and a donkey sanctury.
Drives along the mountain ranges, with breath-taking views, and at night nothing is better than a meal at Kyrenia harbour.
This is an ideal place to family holidays, pony rides, water sports and mountain walks.
Late July and August are a fantastic time to see the baby turtles hatching - and you can help

The Lapta area

Secret Beach is a small sandy cove, about four minutes away, down some steep steps.

Horseshoe Bay is about four minutes by car, where you can swim and then enjoy a wonderful lunch and ice cold beer.

Golden Bay, is a short drive away - sandy cove with sunbeds and umberellas and a fantastic beach cafe.

Kyrenia is about 20 minutesd drive away with a beautiful harbour, which offers boat trips.

Nicosia is about 40 minutes away, and a visit to the walled city with historic sights is a definite must

Karpas is about 3 hours drive away, ideal for an overnight visit - book at the Oasis, and take a trip back in time
