"Lovely Gite"

My wife, daughter and I had a lovely week staying in The Hazelnut cottage. I rang the bell on the big gates and Patrick came out to greet us. He is very friendly and very knowledgeable with regard to … More

It was a pleasure to receive you in Mons, even if we dind't meet too much!!!
Mons is a typical french village with all you want to live in, it's right no need to go in the busy and crowded supermarkets in Laon.
And the suroundings are full of history
and I will be very happy to receive you again!!!

"Great value and very comfortable gite near Laon. Perfect for a family holiday"

We booked the 3 bedroom gite. It is in a converted barn, with a 2 bedroom gite next door. Both gites have their own private garden area and also have access to the wonderful, beautiful park on the e… More

"Nice Place, But Let Down By Details"

We stayed here for a week over the Christmas holidays. We found the location good, the general accommodation well cared for, and the sleep quality good as well. There were problems, however, bringin… More

Thank you for your review;
I noted details wich were immediately put right: lids for the sauce pans, cistern in the double bedroom,...
But the best thing was to speak or ask directly with me because all your remarks have easy and fast solutions or explanations e.g.: acces by the alley and not by the big iron gate for safety reasons, doors of the shower at a third of the side hinded to oblige people to close the door during shower and so avoid water everywhere outside,...

So sorry, if you were a bit disapointed.

"Relaxing and friendly atmosphere"

We had a lovely week here. Patrick is a very good host and gave us lots of tips of places to go.
The people in the village were very welcoming and friendly and there was every convenience needed.
The fishing pond was great. My husband and son enjoyed the fishing very much and caught very large fish.
We visited Axo beach which is about 10 minutes away in the car. The beach is on a lake. Lovely place to visit, sunbathe and swim. We stayed all day and had a picnic too.
Very good place to stay so you can see all around the north of France including WW1 cemeteries and museums.
The cottage is modern, bright and clean with everything supplied, just like being at home including a barbecue.
We would love to stay again.
