Today, the property has been renovated to the very latest standard, providing everything you need for first class accommodation whilst retaining its character and charm. There are four large bedrooms (3 doubles and one twin) and the property is fully equipped to accommodate up to eight people. The gite is located just a few metres from the River Rance and within walking distance to a fine selection of restaurants, bars and shops. The Brittany region

This part of Brittany has lots of fun and interesting things to do. There are many historic and beautiful cities, towns, villages, museums and châteaux to visit, most of which can be reached within a short drive from the house. The stunning Cote d'Armor beaches, famous for their secluded sandy coves and glittering emerald seas, are also easily accessible within 45 minutes by car. Seaside towns include St Malo, Dinard, Cancale, Lancieux, Saint-Briac, Saint Lunaire, Saint Jacques and St Cast. For children, there are a number of theme parks (e.g. Cobac Park and the Bourbansais Animal Park), Aquariums (St Malo) and many other places to visit. The incredible landmark of Mont St Michelle lies 1 hour drive North East and is well worth a visit. For a cosmopolitan inspired day the renowned city of Rennes, the Capital of Brittany, is 60 minutes drive south. Steeped in rich history, it offers an extensive shopping experience and sophisticated dining.

Lanvallay

The medieval walled city of Dinan lies alongside the River Rance and is one Europe's oldest and most enchanting settlements, with traceable history dating back 900 years. It provides an endless fair of restaurants and bars, and plays hosts to a weekly market and regular summer events. The old Port of Dinan offers boat hire and river cruises, and plenty of woodland walks along the banks. All can be observed from the riverside restaurants and cafes. Five minutes down stream is neighbouring Lehon which offers an outdoor swimming centre with 3 pools and picnic areas.

Dinan is home of the legenday Fete des Remparts.
