The West Country region

The Old Rectory is in the pretty rural village of Lanreath, just 6 miles from the fishing villages of Looe and Polperro. It is in my opinion the perfect location for a relaxing holiday. Lerryn is a gem on the river Fowey not to be missed, with walks along the wooded river banks.

Talland Bay is our closest beach, with myriad rock pools to explore at low tide, safe swimming and a popular beach cafe which offers kayak hire.

Looe offers many festivals, including Food and drink in June and the Music festival in September.

Warmed by the gulf stream, our climate is mild, anmd out gardens thrive. There are many to explore, including the famous Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. The National Trust has attractive gardens such as Trelissick and houses such as Lanhydrock; all well worth a day out exploring.

South east Cornwall is a beautiful location with hidden coves and fishing villages. Transport links make the whole of Cornwall accessible to explore. Fowey and The Eden Project are particularly recommended
