The apartment is in a beautiful Pyrenean villa, nestled on the side of a colline (foothill of the mountains) it has stunning views across the valley, surrounded by woodland fields and peaks.

The village is discreetly situated behind the villa, reached by a secret garden gate. There is beautiful garden to enjoy the view , a fire pit to sit around in the evening to watch the stars, and a BBQ to cook the local foods that you purchased at the French market.

There are 3 large bedrooms with double beds (2 single beds also available) 1 en-suite bathroom, 1 large modern bathroom and 1 separate toilet.

The lounge dinning room is cosy, warm and spacious, a wood burning stove for the winter, doors out to the balcony, another area to enjoy the view, whilst you sip your wine. And plenty of comfortable chairs. The kitchen has a breakfast table and chairs, large cooker and all the modern utensils needed to cook up a storm!

There is a lower floor, which is the utility room, the fully equipped gym and garage storage for your sports equipment.

We also offer B&B at the villa, instead of renting the whole house, enjoy being pampered, interacting with jody and Shaun, and eating beautifully prepared food.

The Midi-Pyrenees region

The climate is very favourable at all times of the year, you can normally guarantee 300 days of sunshine. summer can be hot, we are saved by the gentle breezes always to be found in mountains, and for winter we do get snow in the mountains, not always here at the house, but when we do its great! and there is still plenty of sun.

this area still has many seasonal traditions, in march the trout fishing, April sees the beginning of the walking livestock up the valley to the mountain pastures, during the summer there are festivals, local fêtes, and the Tour De France! most years it goes past the villa.

you are not far from historical ruins noticeably Roman, and whilst you are here you have to see one of the many pre-historic caves. we are central to travelling to either the Atlantic coast or Mediterranean or en route into Spain. Toulouse and Pau offer city site-seeing and shopping, just 1hr away.

if you enjoy sports or want to try new ones, the valley offers paragliding, rafting, rock climbing, skiing, bird watching, hunting, fishing, golf, cycling, snow-shoeing, hiking, and good old sightseeing!

Lannemezan

There are always local markets each day held in a different town.

the local tourist information offices are always helpful and give you the current festivals and events.

Taking a visit to a 'SPA' is a must on your list, we have 3 to choose in this valley alone, (hot water pools with jets and water fulls, hammans, saunas and jacuzzi's, etc; www.balnea.fr

The famous Tour De France (july) cols are here; Col D'Aspin, Col de Perygaude, drive them or cycle them either way its worth it!

The area is a destination for winter sports (from December until end of March) skiing, snowboard, ski de fond, snow shoeing and sledge riding to name a few.

if its canoeing, rafting or just enjoying the water, we have it on the river Neste, there are areas to swim, or if rivers are not your thing then the newly opened ECO pool in St laurant de Neste, or for all the family the fun pool in Lourdanville

if hiking is high on the list there are all the GR routes and also the many St Jacques De Compostelle .routes surround us.

"Great location and accommodation"

The accommodation is clean and comfortable, and the owners extremely helpful in providing local information. A perfect location to explore the rolling hills of the Baronnies or to venture into the Pyrenees. We loved the cycling and walking and visiting the rustic villages in the area.
