Cherry Tree Cottage, a modernised and lovely semi-detached 18th century stone cottage,in a pretty tree ringed setting, in tiny Lanivet village 2 miles from Bodmin, Mid Cornwall. Approx 15 miles from Newquay and approx 10 miles from St Austell, with its fine beaches.Padtow about 11 miles, Polzeath beaches 14 miles. Lanivet is a delightful and traditional cornish village with a pub & restaurant (Lanivet Inn - good food),the pub being a few minutes stroll from the cottage; the village also boasting a large old church which is the focal point of the village. The Abbey Hotel does cream teas and there is also a fish and chip shop with a restaurant. The cottage gets its name from the old cherry tree at the front of the cottage. Cherry tree Cottage is ground floor only and was modernised during 2012, providing higher standard and appealing accommodation. Lanivet is in a great central position from which to explore Cornwall with the beaches on the south coast at Par near St Austell approx 12 miles and with Newquay on the north coast 16 miles. Lanhydrock House & gardens (National Trust) is 2 miles. The cottage is in an attractive setting on a side lane in the village. Lanivet village is on the ancient The Saints Way footpath which runs from coast to coast. Other footpath walks from the village.Village Small Childrens park (slide etc). Shared short driveway with adjacent 2 cottages,short pathway into cottage. Patio garden at end of short garden path with garden table and chairs and barbecue area. Linen inclusive. Cot & High Chair. Electric by £1 coin meter. Easy to keep warm with night storage heaters in all rooms including the bedrooms. Also a woodburner affect electric fire in lounge area. Parking in driveway in own space at front of cottage. Other on road parking 100 yards away (no restrictions). No pets.

The Cornwall region

A pretty and traditional small village of old stone cottages centred around the imposing old Church. Bodmin is 2 miles. The village pub (Lanivet Inn) has a restaurant with good food and also has outside seating. The village also has a Fish & Chip restaurant & takeaway and a children's park with slide, swings etc. The Abbey Inn does cream teas. Great for walkers with the famous The Saints Way (ancient coast to coast footpath) running right through the village, with other footpath walks branching off. Bodmin is the start of the Camel Trail cycle route which runs all the way to Wadebridge and on to Padstow (cycle hire). Only 2 miles from Lanivet is National Trust Lanhydrock House and Gardens.
