The Limassol District
Limassol area boasts a huge variety of activities including walking, birdwatching ,golf, horse riding, shooting club, paintball, ten pin bowling, craft classes eg. creating mosaics, swim in warm waters on huge beaches, take a boat trip and enjoy the lovely coast line.
Explore the many different wineries in this region, the amazing byzantine churches, the ancient archeological sites such as Curium at Episkopi or The Tomb of Kings at Paphos giving an incite to life long ago. Visit the donkey sanctuary , the ostrich farm, camel and bird parks.
Your days may be spent relaxing at Kantara or can be filled to the brim but rest assured you can return to a comfortable home from home after exploring different regions of the island each one seeming to have a different landscape from tree covered mountains to orange and olive groves contrasting with almost desert like flat areas in the east of the island.
Traditional taverns are in abundance offering a warm welcome with traditional food. Some may not look up to much but believe me the food can be amazingly tasty. For the ladies you can shop to our hearts content in a variety of up to the minute shops in Limassol town which also has a huge selection of tourist shops all in the pedestrianised St Andrews Street where you will also find a traditional market selling freshest of seasonal fruit and vegetables..
There are often concerts in ancient theatres, wine festivals and celebrations and public holidays abound as the locals like to celebrate many festivals through out the year !! All in all this island is a joy to explore , many of our guests enjoying its diversity again and again.
Lania area
Lania village is a most attractive traditional unspoilt old Cypriot village. Narrow streets are lined with an abundance of flowers creating a visual blaze of colour through out the year. There are several artists in residence offering a variety of art for sale. Sit in the evenings under the trees at Plananos Taverna enjoy the local wine after experiencing the ambiance of the area, explore the craft shops, vist the 800 years old oak tree or walk for miles in the many footpaths high above the village.
Lania has much to offer the holiday maker who just wants to get away from it all but yet be with in a short distance to a city and mountains.
