Enjoy affordable luxury at our loft-style ski chalet in the heart of Paradiski (les Arcs + La Plagne). You'll love the chic alpine décor, stunning mountain views and quaint village setting. It's the perfect base for skiing, walking and cycling holidays, either catered or self-catered, and you're welcome to bring your dog too. There are lots of lovely walks from the door, and in the surrounding area. The village has a butchers with a small grocery, a restaurant and bar.
FLEXIBLE LENGTH & TYPE OF STAY
The chalet is ideal for groups of 8 or more, and can accommodate 12 people comfortably, or 14 if it includes children. Our changeover days and lengths of stay are flexible and, depending on your budget, you can either stay self-catered or pay a bit more for our catered service with a private cook and host. Our catered prices also include our chalet shuttle service to the ski lifts in Montchavin Les Coches.
There's a log stove in the spacious sitting room, and a breathtaking view of the Bellecote glacier from the picture windows and balcony. The chalet also has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, enclosed garden, DVD & book library, WIFI and a selection of games. The four luxury bedrooms (two of which are duplex) all have comfy big beds, vaulted beamed ceilings, designer ensuites, and, except for one, a large balcony too.
1. Alpage: romantic duplex with queen-size double bed, two balconies, twin beds in the mezzanine, and an ensuite shower & toilet, plus a gorgeous free standing slipper bath (enjoy a glass of bubbles and the mountain views while you soak!)
2. Rose: sweet double with queen-size four poster bed, double aspect windows, balcony and ensuite shower room
3. Bateau: cosy triple with standard double bed and a single bunk overhead (90x200cm, not suitable for children under 8), ensuite bathroom in the mezzanine (low ceiling and beam at one end)
4. Abri: family duplex with large double sleeping platform in the mezzanine (low ceiling) and bunk beds below, ensuite bathroom, sitting area and balcony. Also space for an extra single bed if required.
Perfect for a relaxing ski holiday, the Penthouse is located on the edge of Landry, an old alpine village surrounded by orchards, meadows and forest. It's just a few minutes from the ski slopes of Les Arcs and La Plagne in our minibus (extra charge), or you can use the village shuttle to Plan Peisey or the Arc 1600 funicular in Bourg St Maurice. For the more adventurous, there's also easy access to the ski resorts of the Three Valleys, la Rosiere, Tignes Val d'Isere and Sainte Foy Tarentaise.
DOG FRIENDLY SKI CHALET
We're also one of the few truly dog friendly ski chalets in Paradiski and welcome dogs at the Penthouse. The garden is enclosed, and we can provide dog beds, bowls and a welcome goodie bag of home-made dog treats. If you want to spend the day skiing and leave your dog in the chalet, we can arrange a dog walker too. We'll also help you with any vet visits required. It's just £10 per dog, per day to stay and £12 per hour for dog walking.
For dog walkers and non-skiers, there are lots of good walks accessible straight from the chalet, including a beautiful riverside path that's groomed in winter. There are also forest tracks for snow shoe adventures, or you can go up the bubble lift in les Coches and take a walk along the waymarked cross country ski trails before having lunch in a cosy mountain restaurant. We can provide route suggestions and maps if required.
If you fancy a bit of pampering, there are two spas nearby with pools and treatment rooms, one in Montchavin les Coches and the other in Plan Peisey (open in season only). We can also arrange in-house massages and treatments in the comfort of the chalet.
ALPINE SUMMER HOLIDAYS
In summer, the chalet is in an ideal location for mountain activity holidays or for just relaxing and enjoying the stunning alpine scenery all around you. There are lots of walks on the doorstep, from easy riverside paths along the valley to steep mule tracks taking you up into the high mountains. You can also mountain bike and road cycle too. The start of world famous alpine col climbs such as the Col du Petit St Bernard, Courmet de Roselend and Col de l'Iseran are all within an easy ride along the valley floor. Close by along the Isere river, there's a swimming lake, several cafes, a 15km cycle path, and a white water rafting centre. Unlike many resort villages, as Landry has a largely permanent population, there's life even in the off-season too.
TAKING THE HASSLE OUT OF YOUR HOLIDAY

The Rhône-Alpes region
The chalet is in a great spot for summer and winter holidays. Located in the Tarentaise area of the Savoie, the chalet is just off the GR5 long distance footpath and about 12km from the Vanoise National Park, an unspoilt mountain wilderness. The Paradiski resort in which it also sits rises to over 3400m and has 140+ lifts with over 420 kms of lift-connected slopes suitable for all levels of experience. There are beautiful forest runs, several nursery areas, snowboard parks, and two glaciers.
Landry is about 2 hours from the international airports of Lyon, Grenoble and Geneva, and around 1hr30 from Chambery. We provide return airport transfers for catered guests, and can also provide them for self-catered guests for an extra charge. Landry also has an SNCF and TVG train station (about 1km from the house), and is 7km from the Eurostar stations in Bourg Saint Maurice and Aime La Plagne.
The Penthouse is in Landry (800m), and is technically part of Peisey Vallandry on the Les Arcs side of Paradiski, and is one of the best kept secrets in the Alps. A bit like Sainte Foy (but with more runs and better facilities), Peisey Vallandry is a wonderful yet little-known resort that combines world class high altitude skiing with a charming cluster of old farming villages - some of them connected to the slopes by lifts, others, like Landry, by the inter-village shuttle bus service.
Peisey Vallandry links with the ski resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne to form Paradiski, one of the world's largest lift-linked ski areas. It offers an exceptional natural environment for skiing, walking, cycling and all kinds of mountain sports - and it's all right here on your doorstep! To get to it, you can either use the village shuttle bus (stops about 150m from the chalet), or, if you're staying catered or pay extra, you can use our chalet shuttle service. We take you up to the lifts in Montchavin-Les Coches on the La Plagne side as it's closer, and you can then just nip across on the Vanoise Express. The chalet is also ideal for ski safari holidays as it's within less than an hour's drive of lots of other international ski resorts including Val d'Isere, Tignes, La Rosiere, Ste Foy, the three Valleys and Valmorel.
In summer, the chalet is in ideal spot, whether you're looking for an active mountain holiday, touring the Alps, or just want to relax in one place and enjoy the stunning alpine scenery. There are lots of walks straight from the door along waymarked tracks, you can also mountain bike and road cycle too. The start of world famous alpine col climbs such as the Col du Petit St Bernard, Courmet de Roselend and Col de l'Iseran are all within an easy ride along the valley floor. Afterwards, you can chill out at the local swimming lake, have lunch in a riverside cafe (the river and 15km cycle path are about 1km from the house), or go white water rafting on the Isere. Unlike many resort villages, Landry has a largely permanent population and has some life even in the off-season.
Landry has a post office and small village shop with a good butcher's. There is a restaurant and bar about 5 minutes walk from the house, and lots more a short drive away in Bourg Saint Maurice, Aime and the ski stations (the latter are only open during the season). The nearest supermarkets are in Aime and Bourg Saint Maurice (approx 7km).
