Lampeter

Ceredigion is ideal for all kinds of outdoor activities. Challenge yourself and enjoy the thrills of mountain biking or paintballing, the fun of snorkelling and dolphin watching from a boat in New Quay bay, or take it easy and discover Roman gold, steam trains or even paddle an open canoe on the River Teifi to Cilgerran Castle. Eat honey ice cream in the Georgian, pastel-painted harbour town of Aberaeron, and visit the Seafood Festival on the quayside.

You could explore the dramatic coastline in the morning, with its beaches, seaside towns and villages, and the wild, mountainous 'Green Desert of Wales' in the afternoon.

Animal and plant life flourishes in the varied landscape, from woodlands to wetlands, and along the Heritage Coast. Watch red kites feed daily at Bwlch Nant yr Arian, or visit Cors Caron National Nature Reserve, the ancient Tregaron Bog, which supports a range of habitats teeming with wildlife, such as birds of prey, dragonflies, otters and polecats.

"Wonderful!!"

We spent three nights over the New Year period and were 8 in total (3 children and 4 adults). I cannot recommend this house enough. It was incredibly spacious, homely, warm, cosy, well equipped and beautifully decorated throughout. Ann, who lives on sites was very friendly and helpful, but also very discrete. There was a fantastic games room, which the kids loved, and a great selection of films for the children and adults, and it was fantastic for our border collie as she could run around with the kids and play in the secure paddock. The area is also lovely with lots of fantastic walks, and there is plenty of information in the house on local attractions, pubs etc.
