The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region
Country lovers will discover an abundance of outdoor pursuits, whether energetic or gentle, such as walking, cycling, horse riding, watersports, photography, golf and fishing. You can experience the great outdoors, from Devil's Bridge to Cardigan, and follow the Teifi Valley from Strata Florida Abbey to the coast. Explore the 60 miles of the Ceredigion Coast Path, and discover smugglers' coves, Blue Flag beaches and a submerged prehistoric forest, or spot dolphins, porpoises and seals offshore.
Visit ancient castles and churches, the 18th century gentleman's estate of Llanerchaeron or Aberglasney, a garden 'lost in time'. Roam the waterfalls, ravines and 'wild nature' of Hafod, one of the finest examples of a Picturesque landscape in Europe, then take a leisurely drive on the B4574, through Cwm Ystwyth, along what the AA described as one of the top ten scenic drives in the world.
The one thing you can be sure of is that you won't be short of options. Then, in the evening, enjoy a pint and an excellent meal at our local, the Talbot in Tregaron, voted Ceredigion and West Wales Pub of the Year 2012.
