"A delightful home from home"
We had a fantastic week staying at Barnfield Oast Cottage. The accomadation was spacious and even with two children (one a teenager) we had plenty of room. The welcome by Veronica was very warm and we had everything we could need to make our week relaxing and stressfree. Lamberhurst is a great village with lots of excellent pubs both in Lamberhurst and also in Kilndown and Goudhurst 5 mins away.

"a great modern cottage in a beautiful location and lovely village"
I loved our stay in Lamberhurst: the cottage was very comfortable and really made us feel at home as a family and enjoy a good time. The location is also very quiet and beautiful in the middle of the countryside and yet near to Tunbridge Wells. We loved going to the village, which is small, but lovely.

"A comfortable cottage in a beautiful area."
The cottage was an excellent base for walking and visiting the local sights. Tunbridge Wells is a lovely spa town with a feel of Bath. Sissinghurst Gardens are beautiful and local castles, Scotney and Bodiam both grand and atmospheric in their own ways. All are within 30 minutes drive of the cottage. There's also a 15 minute walk across the fields into Lamberhurst and good beer at the pub.

"Well appointed and spacious cottage in beautiful countryside"
The property is set in the rolling Kent countryside, the views were beautiful and there was no noise other than birdsong and the like. It is about a mile from the local village, but there is some uphill walking involved. Lamberhurst is a quaint and lovely village, and has 2 good eating places in the centre of the village as well as a good butcher, bakery and village store.
The property is well designed and well-appointed with an open plan, colourful, comfy, cosy sitting room, integrated kitchen and dining area. There are comfy seats for 7.There is ample and well-designed storage. The downstairs bedroom has 2 single beds and a third which can be pulled out and erected. There is plenty of space in this bedroom and the bathroom. The bathroom is clean and has a good over-the bath shower. Too good, in fact, as water does manage to soak the floor around. This is why I haven't marked the bathroom as excellent. If it had a separate, stand-alone shower it would be better and, moreover, ideal for somebody with physical disabilities (bearing in mind the outside access to the property has a slip-resistant ramp).
The room upstairs is a double and the ensuite has a small stand-alone shower.
The property is ideal for accessing the many attractions of Kent. In the week we were there we visited the beautiful Sissinghurst, Tudeley church with its stunning Chagall windows, Battle Abbey, Rye, Dungeness and Derek Jarman's cottage, evocative Bateman's, charming Charletson, Canterbury, the Turner Contemporary at Margate, Dickens' Rochester, and quaint Goudhurst (do visit the church!) Wherever we went we were never very far from attractive Kentish pubs serving really good food.
Veronica made the access arrangements on our first day very easy, and gave us privacy. It was very nice to meet her on the last day.
I would highly recommend this property, Lamberhurst and Kent. We had a wonderful time.

"Excellent accommodation and highly recommended."
This cottage is surprisingly spacious and comfortable despite our party being five adults. It is situated in a very beautiful part of the English countryside and is very quiet and peaceful. Every facility you might want is thoughtfully provided from salt and pepper to iron and ironing board. We didn't need to bring anything with us except our daily grocery requirements. There is a small supermarket nearby and several quaint pubs in the village. The garden provides plenty of space for children to run around in a safe environment. The gas barbecue was a real bonus. We were pleased to have found the place and will certainly go back if we get the opportunity.

"Property, owner, area, very good indeed, for family and for couples"
Airy (pine) comfy cottage with outside play/eat area and fantastic scenery. Decor comfortable-suit-all rather than characterful. Loadsa hot water, washing machine/dryer, ensuite main bedroom. Openplan kitchen (dishwasher) with lovely utensils/pans. Village down the road, whole area choca with really good restaurants. The Vineyard and Dolce Vita is the tops for making a special night out but The Trout excellent value also, fish great! Castle and gardens abound! Leeds is a must (At £19 it is an all day job but worth it). Pashley Manor, Ightam Mote, Emmetts Garden, Dix House among many others an essential visit for gardeners or strollers. Scotney castle for pure Romance and photo opportunities. Must visit Rye and the unbelievable Mermaid Inn, Camber sands beach, Rye harbour - only half an hour away. Only minor carp is TV and sound system, which is adequate but no good for buffs. Whole area with its charming oast conversions (and real restored one at Sissinghurst) full of goodies right on the doorstep. Thankyou to helpful and friendly Veronica!
