Home description

The villa is situated in the heart of andalucias most spectacular scenery. Lake Vinuela is a man made reservoir, no motorised crafts are allowed on the lake just simple sailing boats and canoes disturb the flat calm of the surface.

This impressive 2 storey villa is set amongst olive trees and overlooks the lake and mountains. the villa is fully furnished and has air conditioning throughout and also mosquito screens to all doors and windows. The
downstairs master bedroom is en-suite and second floor consists of 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. the veranda to the rear of the master bedroom / kitchen / and lounge overlooks the pool. There is a large terraced area to the second floor. Outside also has bbq area and sunloungers etc..

Ground floor consists of entrance hall, lobby, spacious lounge / dining room, bathroom, kitchen, and master bedroom which is en-suite.

Second floor consists of three bedrooms and bathroom. 3 bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and 1 has free-
standing wardrobe.

There are local shops both english and spanish, these are situated in Los Romanes, La Vinuela village
and Puente don Manuel (english shops).
It is a 20 minute drive to the coastal town of Torre del Mar here you will find banks, shops, supermarkets. there is a mall 'El Ingenio' where you will find Eroski which is a hyper market.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The province of Malaga borders on the provinces of Seville, Cordoba and Granada. The area has many cathedrals, museums it is steeped in history.

There are many places of interest:

- Nerja is 19 kms away with coved beaches and historic caves.
- Velez-Malaga (known locally as velez) is the capital of Axarqui and a busy working town with varios architectures and palaces.
- Alhama de Granada is worth a visit with is picturesque ravine and thermal hot springs.
- Granada is about one hours drive away where one can visit the famous Alhambra de Granada.


Lake Vinuela area

The village of La Vinuela remains intrinsically spanish. the best supermarket is situated at the top of the village
with butchers, pharmacy and bank facilities. There are many restaurants close-by all to be recommended. Eroski is a hyper-market within the mall of El Ingenio and has many boutiques etc..

Sports and leisure activities can be as ardous or leisurely as you prefer. Walking, climbing, horse-riding, fishing and golf are all available nearby.

There is a water park (Aqua Velis) in Torre del Mar. (June to September).

Karting del Sol is also in Torre del Mar.

Tennis courts are available to hire at Hotel La Vinuela and also on the promenade in Torre del Mar.

The area is ideal for walking and cycling in Autumn, Winter and Spring and there are companies who organise guided walks.

Coast and beach are just 15 minutes drive away. Torre del Mar has excellent shopping (market day Thursday) a lovely beach and promenade as well as plenty of retaurants, bars and night clubs. Here you can book for many activities such as bike trekking, boat fishing and dolphin cruises.


How to get there

From Malaga airport follow signs for malaga / cadiz, then take the N340 to malaga.
keep on the N340 following signs for motril / almeria.
exit the N340 at junction 272 - velez malaga / torre del mar.
stay in left hand lane and follow signs for la vinuela (15kms).
keep on this road passing signs for la vinuela village until you arrive at camping vinuela bar / restaurant.
about 1.5kms past the restaurant you need to make a right turn at a wooden sign saying casa wood.
casa wood is one of the last villas at the end of this road.
