When we bought Milagrossa it was FEATURED IN SPANISH HOMES MAGAZINE** A village house with pool and terraces, set on the edge of the quiet white village of Los Romanes on the western side of Lake Viñuela. Five minutes from village shop, bar and restaurants.
Private 8m x 4m swimming pool, with Roman steps and shallow ledge all the way around the edge making it safe for children.
BBQ and terraces with fantabulouso views down to Lake Viñuela and across to Mount Maroma within the Tejada National Park. Our home will appeal to those of you who enjoy the countryside but don't want to feel isolated, who wish to enjoy the real Spain in the nearby local villages.
The interior is a mix of Spain and IKEA . It is homely and cosy and loved a lot! Many, many guests feel it to be a real 'home from home' This is our 9th year with Holidaylettings!
We are situated right on the edge of the village next to the village school. The school term ends in June and commences in late September.

Front bedroom looks down to the lake with fantastic views and has an IKEA white wrought iron large double bed. Has en suite shower/wc/basin. This is a lovely sunny room with early morning sunrises which will make you want to grab your camera and start taking pictures as soon as you wake up. Wall mounted Air/heating Conditioning unit
The rear bedroom looks onto the pool and olive groves, and in the distance are the fabulous mountain ranges up to the Zafarrya mountain pass, this room has twin beds, and catches the evening sunsets. Wall mounted Air Conditioning/heating unit.
The middle bedroom has double antique wooden/wrought iron French doors opening out onto the pool terrace. A lovely Mediterranean feel to this room with wrought Iron double bed. Fantastic views of the countryside and mountains beyond. Wall mounted air conditioning/heating unit.
Bright and sunny lounge with air conditioning/heating unit. Wood Burning stove, two couches, coffee tables. English and Spanish Satellite free to view TV/DVD player.

Large rustic terraces on three levels to the rear of the house and also on the lakeside of the house, where you have the most spectacular, uninterupted views to Lake Viñuela and the highest peak of Mount Maroma and the mountains of the Tejeda National Park. Provided with sun loungers and cushions. Table and chairs which you can move around the garden to follow the sun or shade ... which ever you want!
Poolside is edged with palm trees and the garden has olive/almond groves to three sides of the property.
There is a BBQ on the edge of the pool terrace. A driftwood/pebble and cactus garden with mini palm trees to the front terrace.
Spend walm balmy nights dining al fresco - with lighting on the terrace, enjoy the most of the beautiful Andalucian summer nights - take the candle laterns out to the terrace and watch the night sky. It is absolutely beautiful, and if you can be there when there is a full moon over the lake..... wow!
The terrace at the rear of the house has an 8 x 4 meter swimming pool, with 'Roman' steps into the pool and a shallow shelf all the way around the sides. Lights in the pool for night swimming
There are two wooden pergolas, an olive and fig tree for shade.
Patio furniture, including rustic tiled seating areas to the front and rear aspects. Sun loungers and cushions.
Los Romanes village school is next door to Milagrossa. The school term ends in June for three months. The school is screened off from the house by high fencing which makes the garden totally private. There are palm trees and exotic climbing plants growing up and giving tropical backdrop to the patio.

Non-refundable booking deposit of £200 per week required to guarantee booking.
A returnable security deposit of £200 is required with the final payment, prior to giving out keys to our property.

Eight happy years of renting out Milagrossa.
Security deposit repaid within 14 days of return to the UK, after return of the keys and satisfactory inspection of the property by the Home Managers. Any undue use of electricity will also be deducted from deposit.
The Andalucia / Malaga Province region
Mediterranean Sea - Beach closest to home is TORRES DEL MAR, Calette del Mar, La Morche, Torrox. You can be there within 20 minutes. The famous town of Nerja is about half an hour drive from Los Romanes. Nerja is great at weekends to promenade and enjoy the restaurants and bars.
Miles of sundrenched beaches strung with seafood restaurants just great for a leisurely lunch at a Chiringuito restaurant with fresh barbecued Sardines and an ice cold cerveza or vino!
Great for exploring inland rural Andalusia and beautiful whitewashed villages such as COMPETA, SAYALONGA, SEDELLA and COMARES to name but a few.
The Tejeda National Park with Mount Maroma are easily accessed on the other side of the Lake. Organised walks and horse riding days out can be booked during your stay.
NERJA CAVES, FRIGILANA, GRANADA, SEVILLE AND MALAGA, EL TORCA and the FLAMINGO LAKE are all great places to visit from Milagrossa
The Lake Vinuela / Los Romanes area
Los Romanes hosts three main annual, and many smaller, festivals. The first is during the first weekend in May when a romeria, involving a 4 kilometre procession following a scenic route around the lake, takes place. Refreshments and tapas are provided free-of-charge along the way. The three-day event finishes in a picturesque spot beside the lake with camping, BBQs, picnics, beer tents, horse shows and other amusements and attractions.
In June, the next fiesta takes place around the market square when flamenco music and dancing, food and wine are freely provided.
The main town festival takes place in mid-August when again different types of music plus flamenco are performed and huge pans of paella are cooked in the streets.
There is a mini-market and bar in the village as well as four main restaurants around the village, about five minutes at most. It doesn't stop here though as there are many more within a half hour drive. However, on many nights it is great just to get some fresh fish or meat and use the BBQ by the pool as much as you can!

Nearest Airport - Malaga airport. Transfer time is less than one hour drive from the airport.
Mid-week flights can often offer great value, therefore our arrival dates are flexible. Remember to book early to get the very best flight deals!!
Granada Airport is only about 2 hours away/Seville - then take the train to Malaga.

For future guests, we replaced the Air Conditioning units at the end of the 2012 season for more powerful wall mounted ones.
