Lake Vinuela is set in idyllic countryside yet only 15 mins drive from the nearest beach (at Torre Del Mar). It is surrounded by mountains and traditional Spanish whitewashed villages.The area is renowned for olive growing and almonds. It's an ideal peaceful place to just relax and soak up the sun, but for those of you who like to be active there is plenty to do in the area aswell (see local activities below).
The Lake Vinuela / Los Romanes area
Villa Maroma is set in a very peaceful location, but there is plenty to do if you feel active. Swimming (in the pool, lake or sea- the choice is yours !), fishing, canoeing, windsurfing, horseriding, trekking, mountain biking, birdwatching, lots of local villages to visit with their bars and restaurants. The nearest beach is just 18km away (at Torre Del Mar), Nerja with its' famous Burriana beach, the Caves and the Balcon De Europa all within 35 minutes drive. Granada and the Alhambra Palace just 90 miinutes drive and the famous resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus just over one hours drive.
