About the home

Finca Anna - The Annexe is situated in the hills above the beautiful Lake Vinuela which is at the foot of the Sierra de Alhama and Tejeda Mountains. The Finca is part of a scattered hamlet which is located approximately 3km from the Lake. The property has been sympathetically restored to retain the features of a traditional Spanish Finca. Accommodation is divided into two separate units, with the owners, Keith and Carol, living in the main part of the Finca . They will respect your privacy, but, will be available if you require any help or advice. There is access to a large pool and is a cosy retreat for a couple wanting a relaxing holiday in typical Andalucian country side.

Kitchen/living room:- Gas heating for the cooler evenings. The kitchen has a gas cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave oven, toaster and all the necessary equipment. British satellite TV & radio stations. Wifi available.
Swimming pool 8m x 4m, sun loungers and parasol.

The Annexe has a private terrace to the front with table, chairs, barbecue and a bamboo canopy providing shade. A pergola by the pool with table and chairs.

The Andalucia / Malaga Province region

Set in the beautiful hills of Andalucia, but only 12 miles from the coast.

The Lake Vinuela area

In addition to the larger towns of Torre del Mar and Velez Malaga where there is a hypermarket and modern shopping mall, nearer are the villages of Puente don Manuel and Vinuela where basic supplies can be obtained. There are a number of restaurants in the area, in particular, Chez Spice a traditional Indian and Miguels in Los Romanes, excellent steaks! As well as being a great place to get away from it all, the area is also perfect for outdoor activities, especially walking and bird watching. The picturesque lake at Vinuela is approximately 10 minutes drive away and is ideal for walking and enjoying the wonderful scenery. There are several golf courses along the coast. Granada and the Alhambra Palace can be reached in around 1.5 hours.

“Relaxing stay in a beautiful location with very friendly hosts” We had a lovely stay at Finca Anna. It was very clean and beautifully presented, and the kitchen facilities were ideal for our holiday cooking. We had full use of the excellent pool - perfect for the summer climate. The owners, Keith and Carol, were always friendly, helpful and happy to share their knowledge about the local area. Finca Anna is a perfect base for exploring the Andalucian coastline, or for just staying in and relaxing!

“A hidden gem - great value in lovely location!” We spent a very relaxing week at Finca Anna - The Annexe, the accommodation is lovely, in a very pretty spot, away from it all but just 5 mins drive to the local shops and 20mins to the coast. We made good use of the lovely swimming pool and the bbq was used on a daily basis. The rental rate was really good and this is certainly not a case of 'you get what you pay for' - you get a whole lot more!

Thank you so much for the loan of your little piece of paradise. We have had a fabulous week, the weather has been lovely and the Annexe had everything we needed.
I will think about the pool, scenery and Spanish lifestyle as I battle my way up the M1 every morning !!! It will keep me going until next time.

Dear Carol and Keith,
I am so sorry that we left without seeing you again and without being able to thank you for our wonderful stay at the Annexe. It was so beautiful up there in peace and tranquillity and I love the decor and cosiness of Casa Anna or rather its Annexe....... also loved your little dog and could easily have kidnapped him! We saw so many houses and plots that I became quite confused but I think I have found something completely different than I had in my mind's eye so will probably return very soon. You must have gone through the same thing and I think you chose brilliantly in the end.
We both hope you will be very happy in your new life in the sun and hope that we will meet you again. I will definitely send my friends in your direction anyway and hopefully I might get my husband out there.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Change over day is normally Saturday from 19/5 to 21/9, and fllexible on other dates. 24 Sept 2011 - 23 March 2012 - During this period if a full week is not required, we will charge £30 per night (minimum 4 nights).
