About the home

CASA PAZ is a beautiful original stone & lime washed cottage . It has been tastefully restored keeping many of it's original features and having a walled vine covered dining terrace for alfresco eating, and large roof terrace for sun bathing with spectacular uninterrupted views through the olive groves down to the lake and mountains beyond.

Situated at the end of the, authentic Moorish hamlet 'Aldea de Los Castillejos', This privately owned hamlet consists of 11 cottages, 7 of which are let for rural tourism and courses. you can enjoy the best of both worlds, privacy of your own house, plus, should you wish, the ability to socialise with the other guests around the large communal swimming pool [12m X 5m], terraces, gardens and BBQ. We also offer Arabic/Andaluz food served in the eating room [or your house], and for groups we can fire up the village Arabic wood oven to prepare special hearth breads & pizzas. We can provide for individuals and groups; massage [western/eastern], meditation, yoga, reiki treatments, guided mountain walks. And there is always someone on hand to help with any of your needs.

The hamlet is surrounded by almond & olive groves and within a few minutes you can stroll down to the lake and restaurants. Easy access by road to airports, coast, mountains and culture.

This peaceful cottage is the last in the hamlet with spectacular mountain and lake panorama:

Entrance from the pedestian street via a stone terrace to entry/living room with steps down to;
large open plan dining-kitchen area with cast iron wood fire, french doors to; vine
covered walled dining terrace;
twin [triple 7th person] bedroom an en suite bathroom;
first floor has a double and a small twin bedroom leading to large secluded sun terrace with spectacular lake and mountain views;
Casa Paz is semidetached with Casa Sol and has an interconnecting door between the living areas, can be of interest to those wanting a large house for up to 12 persons.

The cottage is self contained and private.
There are communial Swimming pool, terraces and gardens.
There is a small street running through the hamlet for foot and hoof, so great for children.
All cars can be parked in and around the theshing circle at the top of the hamlet.
There are many pathways [caminos] winding their way though the olive & almond gloves up into the surrounding hills and down to the lake.

As the owners live in in the hamlet there will always be an English speaking person on hand to help should you need any advice on what to do, where to go, or if you have any problems.

Welcome packs can be provided on your arrival.
Meals can be prepared for families and groups.

Conditions

Payment: 25% deposit will be required on confirmation of booking, with balance due within 8 weeks of arrival.

Damage/Breakage Deposit; €200.00 (refundable) per house payable on arrival. You are responsible for any damage to te property and its contents caused by you or any person you invite to the property, and for leaving the property in a clean and tidy condition.

The surrounding villages provide a tranquil retreat to enjoy the mountain views, enjoy the local Fiestas and explore the traditional restaurants.

“Lovely place with good atmosphere” If your're searching for a nice place to stay, stop looking and choose this one.! We, a famlily of 3, spent 10 days here in March 2013, and had a lovely time here. We were gonna stay here for a week, but extended our stay 3 days because we liked the place so much. Perfect for both famlies with children and others. The location was also great. Lots of things to see and do only a short drive from the house. The hosts were also really nice people and a good atmosphere surrounded the whole village. And at last:The view from the house is wonderful!

“Marvellous place to stay” Everything is great there: its unique character, peace and space around it - it's really magic place! Guided by friendly and open people makes that you feel like at home. We definitely recommend to stay there :)
