The Andalucia region
Casa Pena Hierro is the perfect location for excursions to Granada, Seville and Cordoba which are less than two hours drive away. If you want to visit Malaga we would recommend parking your car in Torre del Mar and go to Malaga on the local bus to avoid parking problems and stress. Bus travel is also remarkably cheap.
The best sandy beaches are East of Nerja, a 30-40 minutes drive away, though Torre del Mar and other local beaches are also very popular.
Close to the outskirts of Los Romanes where Casa Pena Hierro is situated there are great walking tracks. There are five good restaurants in the area, one of them within walking distance.
May to Sept is Fiesta time and there are always plenty of fiesta's going on in the nearby villages in the area.

"Rustic Gem under the stars."
Our party consisted of My wife myself our late teenage kids and one of their friends.
We stayed at Casa Pena Hierro for one week, before moving on to one of Carlas' other properties in the area.
The drive to the villa was typical of the road to a secluded villa in the hills of interior Spain, the last few hundred meters being single track mostly unpaved, with spectacular views.
We had booked the optional 1 bedroom apartment, which was ideal for the boys as it gave them their "own space".
The Villa itself was very well equipped, the kitchen area had everything needed for a home from home experience . The beds were very comfortable, and the air con made for a cool nights sleep.
Our days were rounded off with a meal under the stars on the candle lit patio at the front of the house.
We had a wonderful time at Casa Pena Hierro and would have no hesitation in staying there again.
