"Villa delle Rose", an independent villa of 300 ms, situated on the hills of Castel Rigone (600 mt asl, near Passignano sul Trasimeno, Perugia, Umbria).
The Villa is situated between olive trees and has got a with a wonderful view on the Trasimeno lake (last 600 mt of the road not asphalted). There is a parking for 2 cars inside the property, with fencing and electric gate.
The Villa has two double rooms on the first floor, one with fireplace and jacuzzi bath (in the room), private bathroom and entry to the panoramic terrace, the other in Empire style with jacuzzi shower and a small study. In the rooms there are LCD TV and wire broadcasting and, like the others rooms, original pieces of furniture from 1700 to the first of 1900. The third room has got 2 twin beds, is situated near the double room in Empire style and has got the bathroom in common with it. The fourth room, in the basement, has got 2 twin beds/toilette with shower and is suitable for children (we underline that this room's furniture is not at the same level as the others, because it is simple and essential). There is also a laundry with washing machine and iron/iron board.

The Umbria region

Lake Trasimeno / Castel Rigone area
Passignano sul Trasimeno is a city-castle on a promomtory on the north side of Lake Trasimeno. The fortress probably of Longobard origin makes up the first nucleus of the castle that was enlarged up to the bank of the lake in three distinct hystorical periods.
Today only the triangular tower (Clock Tower)and some long stretches of the wall remains. The Church of St. Cristopher contains a cicle of frescoes between the 11th and the 14th century. In the historical centre there is the church of St. Bernardine, built in the 1400s, with its beautiful sandstone portal.
To the west there is the temple of Our Lady of the Olive, consecrated before1600 and later embellished with stucco-work, marble and paintings.
Castel Rigone, a medieval village on the hills, is situated 8 km from Passignano. Here you can admire the Renaissance Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Miracoli, the old castle and a wonderful view over the lake.
How to get there
By car: highway a1, exit Valdichiana, direction Perugia/Lake Trasimeno, exit Tuoro sul Trasimeno, direction centre. In the centre, after the newspaper kiosk and the bank, take the first on the right, after 200 mt turn right.
From here we will come with you to the villa in Passignano sul Trasimeno (15 min. By car)
By train: railway Milan-Florence-more, Terontola/Cortona station, then railway Ancona-Foligno-Florence, Tuoro sul Trasimeno station.
