il Forno is your beautiful self-contained apartment with stone terrace located right next to the stunning pool with panoramic views from terrace and floor to ceiling windows in the spacious living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. Relax beside the pool with table and chairs, sun loungers, umbrellas and BBQ while watching the evening sunset with a glass of wine. Two big king bedrooms (can be made into singles) and sleeping alcove for extra bed cot. Sofa bed can sleep an additional two people. Large walk-in shower in the bathroom. Just steps to the main piazza of Piegaro, an historic glass making village perched in the heart of Umbria. In the piazza are shops for groceries, butcher, bakery, gift shops, , bank, post office, restaurants and bar/café. This is the only vacation property actually within a beautiful and pristine medieval Umbrian village that also has panoramic views, pool and terraces! Owners live in the village, speak English and are on hand to give total concierge service as much or as little as you wish. Free weekly visit to a local winery, tour and tasting. Umbria is the "Green Heart of Umbria" with many castles, villages, towers on every hilltop. 15 minutes to the border of Tuscany: visitors to L'Antica Vetreria in Piegaro can explore all the beautiful sights of Umbria and Tuscany, all in less than a hour's drive. Golf nearby, the largest lake in the Italian Peninsula, Lago Trasimeno, is just twenty minutes away for water sports. Free and safe parking, free WiFi, free laundry.

Interaction with guest

We will provide a complete concierge experience, as we live in the village. As much or as little interaction as our guests wish. Having lived in Italy for 20 years we can provide advise for touring. We do give guests a detailed itinerary book. Free tour of village on arrival day, free local wine tour and tasting and tour of glass museum with buffet of local products at 6 Euro per person. This is an ideal way to experience the 750 years of glass making history starting in 1292 in our property.

Why can't I call Colleen (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Colleen (the owner) a message.

If Colleen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
