Ocean Breeze Resort is located on the west coast of Phuket, perfectly situated on a sloping hillside of the Layan headland, with easy access to Bang Tao Bay and its pristine and untouched stretches of beaches.
Ocean Breeze is a low-rise campuslike residential apartment complex designed in tropical plantation style with oversized private balconies configured for lounging, dining and entertaining. The units evoke images of bygone, more tranquil times. Six beautiful colonial buildings cluster round the central, spring-fed lake and a large swimming pool with a waterfall cascade interspersed with lavishly landscaped gardens.
The penthouse apartment has one master bedroom, a modern and fully equiped Western kitchen and bathroom with bath and shower and is serviced with free satelite TV and free WiFi.
Multiple swinging French doors open up to the veranda offering scenic views to the lake, pool and mountains. The 24 m2 veranda is complete with two fans, daybed and dining. The bedroom has a king size bed with French doors opening to the veranda. Total living area of 76m2.

The apartment is fully furnished and includes linens, cutlery, crockery and glassware. The home has been decorated to high standard modern Thai furniture and includes a Satellite TV, and CD/DVD/VCD facilities, wireless internet, air conditioning and fans. The bedroom has a king size bed with Frecnh doors opening to the veranda.
The bathroom includes bath with shower. A parking lot is included.

The Phuket region
Phuket enjoys great popularity as a travel destination. Most beaches are on the west coast, with Phuket Town to the south-east and the airport in the north.
Phuket is hot and humid throughout the year. The high season is generally considered to be from November to May. During the summer monsoon season, mornings and afternoons are still sunny and clear, but it tends to rain in the evenings and water clarity goes down. Locals consider May to October the "cool" season, and the weather is very nice, much more so than in the tourism centres around the Gulf coast.
Surfing is possible off the western beaches.
The Laguna / Layan area
Layan Beach is the local name of the northern part of Bang Tao beach, north of the Laguna Resort. Bang Thao is a large open bay with one of Phuket's longest beaches. Dry season swimming is excellent, and at the bay's north end is a smaller bay, almost completely enclosed, at the mouth of which is some fine coral. Plenty of places to eat, tour companies, and other tourist facilities are available either at Laguna or in the nearby town of Cheong Thale. But Layan beach itself is mainly undeveloped and remains the wide open pristine views so commonly advertised about the beaches in Thailand. On the beach is a small restaurant for breakfast and dinner, beach chairs are provided but not obligatory. Just around the corner is one of the best Thai restaurants on Phuket, cheaply priced but of a quality you won't find anywhere else on the island. Layan is excellent for families or older couples who want to enjoy the beauty of tropical Phuket.

Phuket is certainly on the international jet set map and has become one of Asia’s most visited destinations. Its international airport receives flights from many Asian cities and selected European airports. The island is also connected to the mainland by a causeway and is easily reachable by bus or car. The rail network, however, passes through Surat Thani province 100kms north and a transfer is needed.
The most convenient gateway to Phuket is the International Airport, located at the Northern end of the island. It receives more than three million passengers a year and is fairly well equipped although a little small to cope with its growing popularity. Flights arrive from Bangkok (17 a day), Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne and as far away as London.
The airport is a 20 minute drive from Layan. There is an officially sanctioned airport limo service available and conventional taxis can be caught from the far side of the car park (5 minute walk), where a 100 baht levy is charged and the meter is used.

I've been staying at Jaap's apartments for over a week in August together with my friends. The place is very comfortable, has a large pool, nice surroundings, and is very calm. The beach is nearby (around 500m), there's a good access to Thai food (there are two restaurants within 500m), and it's very relaxing after a busy day in one of the colorful towns of Phuket. Good price/performance. Jaap has also been very responsive and helpful about anything we needed, and made good suggestions on where to go in Phuket or where to do shopping. |

Thailand is our favourite holiday destination, and this is our favourite holiday home.So much so we have stayed several times! Set in one of Phukets most uncommercialised coastal areas, this is a high end development of plantation style buildings, set in gorgeous gardens, surrounding a pool to die for, and only a couple of minutes drive from beautiful Layan beach (walkable if you dont mind the heat). The apartment is just as the pictures show....perfect..clean,comfortable,and well equiped. Best of all is the huge fan cooled outside living area for eating , chilling and enjoying the view. A view which takes your breath away each morning when you open the blinds! The gym, wifi, 24/7 security, and a manned office are all an added bonus, as is the maid twice a week. Nearby there are a couple of restaurants. Baan Suan Layan, and Layan sea view(steep track) The former and others offer transport. Thai food is fabulous, but if you do want to cook there are great local markets nearby, selling a whole range of fresh produce, fruit and fish, which are fun to shop in. Phuket also has huge supermarkets (not so much fun) and smaller tesco lotus which are handy. For serious shopping Patong has all the copy handbags, dvds, girls and traffic! In all my correspondence Jaap the Dutch owner has always been most helpful, and will be happy to give you lots of tips, or answer any quiries. Phuket is a beautiful island, with so much to see and do, and this is a perfect place to stay. Take our word for it, we are a well tavelled English couple with high expectations, and have just booked again for 2012. The apartment was very nice and clean. everything what was needed was included in the apartment and the service was great. The location is close to the beach, within 5 minutes walk from the house you can arrive to a wonderful quite beach. the level of price of the apartment is in relation to the level of quality- therefore i would rate this apartment on scale 1 to 10 with the highest score.

As a well travelled English couple, with high expectations , this high end development of plantation style buildings set in gorgeous gardens, surrounding a truly lovely pool has everything to make our perfect holiday.
