Mini Markets & supermarkets are within walking distance or a short drive away as is Lagos town centre. There is a bus service every 20mins to the town centre from the beach & taxis can be called for from the apartment

All Sterling payments to a UK Lloyds TSB account & Euro payments to a Deutsche Bank account. £150 security deposit against breakages - returned around 1 week after holiday. Mid stay linen & towel change, bathroom & kitchen clean for holidays of more than 10 days. Extra Maid service & change of linen available by request. Cot & high chair available at extra cost

The Algarve enjoys over 3000hrs of sunshine per year and the best places of interest are the west coast beaches, Porto de Mós beach which is only minutes walk away, Lagos old town, the Monchique mountains & shopping facilities in central Portimão & Algarve shopping, Albufeira. The Lagos / Porto de Mos area
There are 2 restaurants located on Porto de Mós beach, only 3.4 minutes walk away, the beach itself is approx. 1.5kms long protected from the wind by high cliffs, there are shallow rock pools at low tide on either side of the beach and the whole location is great for families, in fact the nationals & locals use this beach more than any other in the area. Lagos is approx. 3kms away and can be walked within 25 minutes, taxis are abundant and cost around €7, people from the area can be seen walking into town and taxiing back.
Local coffee shops are very close as is an international supermarket, golf course and for people with special need a private hospital. Summer temperatures in the western Algarve are high however with the close proximity to the beach the gentle sea breezes are a real welcome during summer months

Thank you for a lovely holiday. The apartment was excellent in terms of position, layout and facilities. The view from the balcony over the sea was so relaxing. The superb beach was less than five minutes walk away although the path there was unfinished and a little steep. Porto de Mos is very much a work in progress and it will be a number of years before the development is completed. When we were there, in September, only one of the beach bars -Campimar- was open, but the service, atmosphere and food were excellent. Lagos with its vibrant night life and restaurants is only 25 minutes walk away and the taxi back was less than six euros. An excellent choice for those who want either a quiet holiday or a luxury base from which to explore this delightful part of the Algarve.
We stayed in apartment J for 1 week in June and can honestly say it’s the best apartment we’ve stayed in. All fittings and furnishings are top quality with all mod cons. Air conditioning in both bedrooms and living room were brilliant for warm evenings. Both bathrooms are excellent and great power shower in one. Only minor thing was that my hairdryer (GB voltage) didn’t work nor my straighteners but bought a cheap hairdryer in Lagos centre for 10 euros. Washing machine was good for washing beach towels (4 times in 1 week) roof top area for clothes drying area with lines provided. Kitchen was top of the range with microwave, oven, toaster, coffee maker, fridge and half a freezer. Breakfasted on balcony every morning to sunshine and a sea view. One balcony overlooks the front of apartment and pool area and another at the kitchen and back bedroom areas. Each apartment has specific sun loungers so no wrangling over sunbeds at pool and umbrellas are readily available. Also a lovely garden area if you don’t want to sunbath beside the pool. Secure car parking on site as well as apartment safe in bedroom. It’s a short 5 minute walk to beach if you fancy a swim or just a stroll or you can easily do half day at pool and half day at beach. Owner lives nearby and is very helpful and accommodating, allowing us a late check-out on day of departure. To be honest I had initially wondered if pictures on website were too good be true but it was all genuine and its refreshing to have someone who isn’t out to skimp on quality or customer service. We ate one night in Antonios Restaurant down at beach with good food and reasonably priced. Also ate in a great restaurant called Veneza in Lagos centre there desserts are to die for, especially the hot flambé crepes! Would recommend car hire for location as its about a 30 minute walk into Lagos town. If your parking in the centre at night make sure you pay the parking meter, its 24 hours. On our first night we didn’t know and got a parking ticket although thankfully it was only 9 euros. Would not hesitate to recommend these apartments to families or couples. wanting to relax and unwind in quality accommodation. Its also convenient base for touring some lovely beaches near Vila Do Bispo.
The accomodation is very new, clean and has excellent facilities, e.g. all the kitchen appliances were Siemens and included everything we needed. The description and pictures on the web accurately reflect what you see on arrival. We had our 10 month old baby daughter and were provided with a new cot and the owner even bought a brand new high chair for us to use which was better than the one we have at home!
The pool area and gardens are well kept and during our stay were lovely and quiet during the day and night. We were also in easy walking distance of the beach and ate at each of the restaurants (although one is better than the other).
We hired a car and would recommend visiting neighbouring beaches and travelling to Cape St Vincent and calling off at a few places on the way as it really is a beautiful place with a stunning coastline. Lagos town centre is also worth a visit and we went on a boat trip around the caves which was well worth 20 euros.
John and Dina were very welcoming and information on the area was provided in the accomodation.
My only nag was that it did take a few weeks for the return of our deposit but this is a minor thing in comparison to how much we enjoyed our holiday and staying in such nice accomodation.
Splendid and classy 2 bedroom apartment and shows just like the pictures. Marble floors, air-conditioned and overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Beautiful
Excellent service by Dina. She is there to help you get situated and can speak volumes about the town and the area.
Nice location to go down nightly into Lagos and get near the action, yet secluded enough to feel you are in a special luxurious resort.
Pool is lovely and the apartment is comfortable and easy.
Having a television with some more working channels and Wifi for connection would be a great asset and cheap to add.
We all loved it there.
We are a young couple with our first baby and so this year we decided to choose vacation in Algarve. But we wanted something really quiet with beach or pool so we can relax and be all together and enjoy first newborn! We look for apartments but they weren't cosy enough or with the requirements necessary to be with a baby.
So we found Porto de Mos holiday villas... just one word to describe everything: Wonderful!
Beautiful apartment, warm welcomme, full equiped, brand new, swimming pool, beach really nearby!
We just loved it! We certainly recommend it, and if we decide to spend some time in Algarve again, Porto de Mos will be the first option for sure!
