About the home

Villa do Abrosa is a lovely three bedroom home, all of which have private terraces with views over the countryside from one side and to Boavista golf course from the other which are perfect for that glass of wine or early morning cup of tea. The villa has a private pool (which can be heated at additional cost) and outdoor kitchen with BBQ and dining area, boasting some of the best bougainvillea in the area, making it a very relaxing place to be. Located just 1.5 km from the towns and beaches of Lagos and Luz, there are a number of restaurants within walking distance and the villa comes with access to all of the facilities of the upmarket resort of Boavista including 25% discount off of golf, discounted tennis, health club/spa (with indoor pool for the winter), children's play area etc.

The villa itself is furnished to be a true home from home, and comes with full satellite TV (some Sky channels plus Freeview), a fully equipped kitchen and a light and airy lounge and dining room and, of course fully air conditioned for those warm summer days and nights

Villa do Abrosa is furnished as a true home from home with a lovely lounge/dining room which opens out to the pool. The three bedrooms are spacious (all have their own terraces with far reaching views) and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking/in villa dining during your stay. The living room has a large TV with satellite TV and sound system.

The villa boasts some of the best bougainvillea in the area on its terraces/garden areas, which makes it a very relaxing place to be. There is an outdoor kitchen/built in BBQ for those summer evenings, and the pool area is a real sun trap for those wanting to make the most of the sun.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

The Western Algarve is a great place to holiday - uncrowded but with everything you could need for a family, golfing or couples' holiday being available. The coastline is spectacular, the beaches large, clean and perfectly safe, and the local towns of Lagos and Luz are just superb. Watersports, golf, walking, biking, tennis, football, restaurants, night life, are all here - and just a few minutes from Villa do Abrosa

The Lagos / Porto de Mos area

Porto do Mos has the most stunning of beaches, and those around Lagos are just as good. There are lots of places to do water sports, there is a water theme park nearby, and if you're a golfer you're spoilt for choice (Boavista championship golf course is just 100 metres away from Villa do Abrosa). The historic town of Lagos is culturally rich, and has a great marina and town centre within the old walls with lots of restaurants, bars, museums and night clubs. Luz is a little more touristy, but still retains its charms of an old fishing village, and the promenade is just superb with its palm trees, restaurants, cafes, etc giving it a real Mediterranean feel.

Villa do Abrosa is located just a 50 minute (easy motorway drive) from Faro which is served by most of the budget and scheduled airlines in Europe. For visitors from further afield, Lisbon airport is about 2.5 hours' drive.

“Very pleasant , clean and comforable Villa - very professional,helpful, informative and responsive c” The Villa provides a good base for exploring Western Algarve - facilities within walkng distance are limited to those provided by a Golf Resort, a local snack bar and restruant (all of which are very good) in my view a car would be essential to get the most from your holiday. Guest book was full of very postive comments with a number of families making repeat bookings. Lovely facilties for dining at the Villa including well designed outdoor BBQ area or internal dining room. The owners provided a huge amount of very useful information particulary in relation to recommended eating places - this was very much appreciated.

“A great holiday” We have just returned from our second holiday at Villa do Abrosa and it was every bit as good as the first. The Villa is lovely, ideally situated and we found some lovely cafe/bar restaurants at very reasonable prices. Please do follow Caroline Page's recommendations.

"We had a most wonderful stay at Villa do Abrosa and it was great to be able to use the facilities at Boavista. We were slightly concerned being next to a 'resort', but you have to see Boavista to understand what a wonderful place this is as it is all high quality villas and apartments, all well spaced out and the landscaping throughout the resort is superb - it really changed my mind about what a resort should be. The health club/spa is absolutely superb and we loved the restaurants there (and the nearby other Portuguese ones which were ridiculously cheap and good. In terms of the villa itself, it really is a home from home mixing all mod cons in a modern villa, but with a real homely fee. We loved the pool area as it really is a sun trap!!!"
