Apartment Porto do Mos is a brand new deluxe complex situated in the area of Porto do Mos in Lagos. This spacious 3 bed apartment is managed by a local company that have representatives to greet you upon your arrival and are available to you throughout your stay should you have any queries.
The expansive golden sandy beach of Porto do Mos is a 5 minute walk away (300m) with a couple of really good restaurants. 25 minutes by foot or a few minutes by bus, taxi or car and you are in the centre of the historic town of Lagos with its cobbled side walks and colourful market square, offering a larger variety of restaurants, bars, cafés, shopping and markets.
There is a bus-stop located next to the beach that brings you into the centre of Lagos.
Boa Vista golf course is a 5 minute drive away, while Palmares and Penina Golf Courses are a 20 minute drive away. For the children there are a variety of water parks and theme parks within a 30 minute drive.

This new apartment has been furnished to the highest standard including all mod cons as the owners use it themselves as a second home. It is managed by a management company that will greet you upon arrival, at the airport or the apartment. As well as giving you details on the local restaurants etc. they will show you how everything in the apartment functions. They are available to you during your stay should you have any queries or problems. The management company is based locally so they are available to you 24/7 should any emergency arise.
The fully air-conditioned apartment comprises of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the master bedroom with King bed has an en-suite with Jacuzzi bath and patio doors leading out to the private garden with pool views, the second and third bedrooms are both twin rooms, with 2 twin beds in both rooms, with use of a bathroom with shower located in the hall.
The living area is well equipped with seating for all the family, dining table with 8 chairs and the living room with ample comfortable seating for all your guests. There is satellite television that transmits BBC, ITV and SKY. The living area opens out onto the patio and small private garden, there is a path down to the pool area with sunloungers, Jacuzzi pool and a large adults pool. The kitchen has been well equipped with washing machine, microwave, oven hob and fridge freezer.
This is a ground floor apartment with a private garden area with pool views. This allows easy access for wheelchairs, baby prams/buggys and golf trolleys/clubs. The garden is securely fenced and gated - ideal for young Children.
The apartment will accommodate six adults very comfortably. High Chairs, Cots and Roll out beds are available upon request. Towels and linen are provided. Cleaning during and after stay is also included, see below for more information.

There are patios/terraces leading from every room in the apartment, bar the bathrooms. The master bedroom and living room have a shared terrace that leads to the small garden with swimming pool views. This terrace area contains outdoor dining table with 6 chairs and sun loungers perfect for dining alfresco.
There is an outdoor shower/WC and Jacuzzi hot tub located in the outdoor pool area. Sun loungers are also located at the pool.

The apartment is available for long weekend breaks and short stays. It is available for periods as short as 3 days. During peak season check out days are flexible.
The apartment is cleaned and linen is changed on stays of one week or longer (mid -week towel change, weekly towel and bed-linen change). Further cleaning and linen changes can be arranged if required at an additional cost.
Food Essentials such as milk, bread, tea, coffee, cereal etc. can be provided if desired at a minimal cost (€15 - €30).
25% of the full rental amount is due immediately in order to secure the booking. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before the start of the booking.
Even though we receive a check out report we do ask that renters please let us or the management team know of any breakages that may happen during your stay.

The Algarve region
The Algarve is in the south of Portugal on the most southern-west tip of Europe. It's one of the Europeans favourite holiday destinations, well known for glorious year round sunshine, championship golf courses and excellent sandy beaches.
There are about 100 sandy beaches washed by the Atlantic Ocean and due to the maritime shelf and water currents the sea temperature can often be surprisingly warm even in the winter months.The Algarve has a wonderful climate with over 3000 hours of sunshine per year making it a fantastic year round holiday destination. The summers are hot and dry. Temperatures average around 29º, but can rise into the 30ºs, with up to 12 hours of sunshine per day. There is usually a cooling sea breeze which keeps the atmosphere light. Spring and autumn are mild. Temperatures average 17 – 20º and there is plenty of sunshine – perfect for golf and other sports. Winters tend to be mild averaging around 15º.
The Algarve is not just about beaches and golf courses, of which there is almost 40, it is a region stepped in History. LAGOS in the west is one of the most historically interesting coastal towns in the Algarve. It was here during the Age of Discovery that Henry the Navigator had his vessels built for the voyages of exploration down the coast of West Africa.
The Algarve can be reached by air with daily flights from all major European cities to Faro airport. From Portugal’s capital city, Lisbon, there is a direct motorway, IP1, which extends from Porto in the North to the Algarve in the south. The Algarve can be reached from Lisbon, by car, in less then three hours.
One of Portugal’s most luxuriant and charming areas, it is wreathed in fig trees, orange groves and almond trees. Apart from the wealth of available golf and aquatic sports facilities the Algarve also provides a host of other activities including tennis, horse-riding, walking, fishing trips, as well as countless Spas, beaches, restaurants, cafés and quaint bars where you can sample delicious local cuisine. The standard of living is high and costs are relatively low compared to northern Europe.
The Algarve's sunny shores offer perfect escapes for all types of holiday, it really is a European paradise.
The large and sandy Porto de Mos beach is approximately 300m from the apartment. There are two great restaurants on Porto de Mos beach which offer both indoor and terrace seating right next to the surf. You can just have a refreshing drink here, or a snack or a full meal.
The world famous Praia da Dona Ana is about 2km away. There are many other cove beaches running along to the Ponta da Piedade headland and lighthouse. The golden sands of Meia Praia is about 3km away and 5km long and wide too.
Lagos is approximately 3km from the apartment. You can get to Lagos by taxi, hire car or bus, bus stop located at Porto de Mos beach. You can walk to Lagos in 25 minutes.
Lagos is a typical Portugese fishing town with well developed amenities and a magnificent new marina. The town has an excellent range of shops, bars and restaurants. The town is surrounded by sandy beaches, including the famous Meia-Praia beach. There are four great golf courses within a 15 minute drive of Lagos, including Palmares, Boa Vista, Parque de Floresta and Penina
Lagos is an easy place to be- there are ample street cafes and restaurants along the cobbled whitewashed streets, a local market every Saturday morning, interesting small shops, a fresh fish market and a lively night life. From the harbour you can go on a boat trip to spot dolphins, visit caves, fish or even charter your own yacht.
For children who want a change from Porto de Mos swimming pool and from playing on the beaches, there is the Lagos Zoo or a couple of good attractions about 30 minutes drive away: such as a big Slide Splash park and at Zoo Marine there is a wonderful dolphin show, aquarium, 4-d cinema, swimming pool and a few rides too.
Lagos zoo (15 mins) makes for an excellent day out as the zoo boasts a top class restaurant.
Waterparks are available at Lagoa (15 mins) and Guia (30 mins).
Also at Guia is the Zoomarine park and the Algarve shopping centre which opens late most nights.
