Casa Lindy is a spacious, fully equipped 2 bedroom apartment situated on the third floor of a 4-storey block in a quiet and peaceful location 250 metres from Meia Praia beach holding a valid Tourist Licence (mandatory from 2010). From the balcony, there are stunning views over the bay with country views to the rear of the apartment. On the balcony, there is a patio table and four chairs giving the opportunity for al fresco dining.
The apartment, which offers extremely comfortable accommodation and excellent facilities for guests, is in a secure complex with lift access and entry phone. Tastefully furnished, it has tiled floors throughout, a fully fitted kitchen with its own window and a convenient serving hatch to the dining area of the lounge. Both bedrooms have twin beds and built-in wardrobes with drawers. The kitchen was re-fitted in February 2009 and the bathroom, which contains a walk in shower, WC and wash hand basin, is currently being refurbished. There is parking for guests at the front of the apartment block.

For your safety, a carbon monoxide alarm and fire blanket are situated in the kitchen, a smoke alarm is fitted within the apartment and there is a fire extinguisher in the hallway.
Safety checks were carried out on both the gas and electrical installations in February 2009 and were passed as legal and safe resulting in the issue of a Tourist Licence.

Less than a 5 minute car ride away is the Duna Beach Club, which is situated adjacent to the beach and has its own swimming pool, tennis courts, snack bar and comfortable lounges. Sun loungers can be hired here on a daily basis. In addition, there are 5 golf courses within a half hour drive including the Palmares course, which is a 5 minute drive, Boa Vista is 15 minutes and the Penina course is 20 minutes away. Buses for Lagos Town stop at the end of the road, which is 150 metres away. Taxis to and from Lagos Town are inexpensive costing around 7 Euros.

No pets allowed.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required on booking with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure. If bookings are made less than 6 weeks before departure, full payment is required.
A breakages/damage deposit of £200 (or 300 Euros) is required, refundable within 21 days of clients return upon receipt of a satisfactory report from our local agent.
The Algarve / West Algarve region


With its mild climate and temperatures rarely going below 16 degrees C even in winter, the Algarve region is an ideal location to relax and unwind the year round. The Monchique Mountains to the north and the rugged coastline to the west are just half hour car journeys away. The region offers white sandy beaches, excellent restaurants and a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
The Algarve is renowned for its golf courses and there are several within a half hour drive and the Palmares course is a 5 minute drive from the apartment.
For shoppers, the Algarve Shopping Centre with designer shops, food hall and bowling is a 30 minute car drive away and there is also the Portimao Retail Park within a 15 minute car journey.
The Lagos / Meia Praia area
The attractive town of Lagos, the third largest on the Algarve, is a 25 minute walk or 6 minute car journey from the apartment. It is a lively, cozy town with a maze of winding cobbled streets full of pavement restaurants serving both local and international cuisine, local cafes, bars, shops of every description and what must be one of the best stocked fish markets you will find anywhere. The fish market is housed on the ground floor of the municipal food market where fresh meat is also available with fruit and vegetables being available on the first floor of this building. The market is on the main Avenida and is open every weekday morning.
Lagos is also rich in culture and history, as well as having a modern marina and a colourful open air market held on the first Saturday of every month, together with a long promenade where one can stroll whilst watching activities in and around the marina and fishing harbour.
There are a variety of excursions from the main marina/harbour, including diving, snorkelling, dolphin watching and the grottos or you can visit water theme parks, the zoo, Shopping/Retail Parks and Cape St Vincent all within a 30 minute car drive.
The 4 kilometre long Meia Praia beach is just a 5 minute walk away from the apartment and there are several beach bars/restaurants where you can sample local dishes or simply relax with a drink. The nearest supermarket is a 5 minute drive away from the apartment with others also within easy reach.

Flying: Cheap flights to Faro are available via Easyjet, Flybe, Jet 2, Thomson Fly, Palmair, Monarch, etc. as well as with scheduled and charter airlines. Booking early can secure excellent deals. On arrival at Faro, you can travel to the apartment by car, taxi or train.
Car: All major car rental companies are well represented at Faro Airport. Advance booking is advisable and this can be arranged for you with two local companies. The journey takes approximately 50-60 minutes mainly on the motorway and directions will be sent to you.
Taxi: Taxis cost approx. 80 Euros each way depending on time of day and number of passengers. Remember to check and agree the price with the taxi driver beforehand. A taxi service can be arranged for you, the current cost of which is 80 Euros each way.
Train: The train from Faro to Lagos takes about 2 hours and costs approximately 8 Euros per person each way. NB. You will need a taxi from Faro Airport to Faro Railway Station costing approx. 10 Euros. On arrival at Lagos Railway Station, a taxi to the apartment will cost about 7 Euros.
