Large terrace overlooking the communal pool and with lovely sea views. Built in brick barbecue and outdoor furniture for al fresco dining and sun bathing. Air conditioning throughout the apartment.
There is a spacious living area with seating for all the family and a dining area with 8 seater table and patio doors opening onto one of the 4 terrace's.

Master bedroom with king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower & bath. Two further bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with two singles. 2nd bathroom with bath & shower.
Air conditioning in all 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms are double rooms and have a balcony.

Cot & high chair to hire £40 per week. Beach towels to hire (reduce luggage weight) £5 per person-per week.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIMES- available from 4.30pm on day of arrival, departure by 9.30/10am to allow for cleaning and linen change for next guests. We will try to be flexible with all bookings.
Conditions
Saturday changeover in June, July & August. 40% deposit required to secure booking and full payment required 8 weeks prior to departure. Payment by electronic transfer or cheque. A refundable deposit of £250 is required at time of final payment to cover breakages, damage, loss of keys etc. This will be returned within1 week after the holiday subject to confirmation that all is OK from our property manager.
For bookings less than 8 weeks prior to arrival date, the full amount will be payable.

The Algarve / West Algarve region


The Algarve situated in the South of Portugal, offers gorgeous beaches, warm water and glorious sunshine year round. With over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year and idyllic temperatures. Rarely going below 12ºC during Winter and reaching as high as 30ºC in July and August, making it ideal for simply relaxing or playing golf and other sports.
Algarve boasts some of the best unspoilt beaches in Portugal. A perfect setting for water sports, sailing, big game fishing and other maritime activities. The majority of the finest championship golf courses are concentrated in this region, which attracts a steady influx of golfers all year round.
There is no shortage of sporting and leisure activities for the non-golfer such as tennis, horse-riding, bird watching, walking, swimming, fishing, sailing, jet skiing and micro light flying.
The Lagos / Meia Praia area
Lagos is one of the best kept secrets of the Algarve boasting its five mile long beach 'Meia Praia'. As well as the famous Palmares and Boavista golf courses, its beautiful Marina, bustling atmosphere and hundreds of restaurants and bars around the central area where cars are not allowed.
Something to please everyone! Once you are at the apartment, everything is on your doorstep and within walking distance, beach, supermarket, car hire, train station, bus station, cafes and restaurants, bars, shops and historic places to visit. The apartment is in an up and coming area of Lagos. It is located in a 28 apartment condominium which is small and intimate, very friendly and secure. The apartment is suitable for all ages of children. The apartment is secure and is on top floor level. The pool area has a children's pool in addition to the large shared pool.
There are five golf courses to choose from:
Palmares - 5 mins drive
BoaVista - 10 mins drive
Parque de Floresta - 20 mins drive
Slightly further afield there is the Penina and Alto courses which are about a 30 minute drive.

Dunas do Mar is superbly located in Meia Praia, Lagos. About 45 - 60 minutes drive from Faro airport. If you don't want to drive, no problem. It's easy enough to get a taxi from the airport to the train station for about €10 Euros.
Have a beer with the locals while your waiting for the train to come in. Hop on the train for about €7 Euro each and relax for around an hour and half. The end of the line is Lagos so don't worry if you nod off. Just a 10 minute walk from the station to reach the apartment.
This apartment is a pleasant 10 minute stroll to the beach and about 300m away from the Marina where there are a selection of bars and restaurants.
From the Marina you can cross the footbridge to the 'old town' within a few minutes. Perfect for an evening stroll around the many streets filled with restaurants, shops and places to enjoy a cool drink.
Car hire can be organised for collection at the airport. The airport shuttle costs approx €20 per person or a taxi for up to 4 people will cost approx €80. There is a bus from the airport to Faro train station (€1) and the train (running every 2 hours) costs (€6) - takes 1.5hrs. Apartment 5 mins walk from station.
It is not necessary to have a hire car once at the apartment as it is possible to walk to the beach, Marina and centre of Lagos.

Perfectly situated for a short walk to Marina Cafes and Bars and walking into the main Lago towncentre. Beach within walking distance or a short 10min drive to other quaint coves and beaches. superb restaurants with value for money if chosen carefully. Can highly recommed Fernandos on Main road. |

Lovely apartment, couldn't fault it.........until we got home and told £50 of our deposit was being kept back for numerous cigarette burns on patio cushions (which were already there on our arrival!) and that we hadn't left the apartment clean - which we were horrified by!!! We spent time to tidy and do all that was asked for on the notice board in the apartment - we were totally confused by this! We have privately rented holiday rentals on many occasions before and never had any complaints. Response: Thank you for your lovely comments about our apartment. We were as disappointed as you when our management company contacted us about how the apartment had been left, they have never experienced this with any of our previous guests. We have never had prior cause to retain any monies but on this occasion we had no choice. |
