This extremely spacious first floor, two bedroomed Apartment has sea and country views from each room, and all rooms have large balconies, allowing relaxation during the day, and maybe idling away the sundown hours with a drink or two! Ahoy has been stylishly furnished to a very high standard, and we therefore ask our guests to ENJOY and treat with respect. There is ample parking available in the cul-de-sac outside the Apartment block. Access to the Apartment is via a secure electronic door on the Ground Floor. FREE Welcome Pack supplied.
We now live in Lagos, and personally meet and greet all our Guests, and are always available to offer any assistance in all aspects to make your break with us a truly memorable one.

The Algarve / West Algarve region
Welcome to the Algarve, one of the worlds most attractive and congenial holiday destinations. The coastline with its golden beaches is simply magical - mile after mile of it remains totally unspoilt.
Yet within a few miles inland you can be in a time warp, good roads, but otherwise life is much as it has been for centuries.
Although a little shy initially, the Algarve people are very friendly and welcoming.
The climate is one of the healthiest and most pleasant in the world, comparable to California. We usually have well over 300 days of beautiful blue skies, and is the perfect location for Summer and Winter Breaks.
Lagos / Meia Praia area
LAGOS is the jewel in the crown of the Algarve. It has 4 stunning beaches, Meia Praia being the biggest, curving all the way from the Marina to the river estuary at Alvor. Our Apartment is only a 2/3 minute level walk on to the sand dunes. Within a 10/15 minute walk is the Marina, which is the ideal spot to have a meal/drink, or book a trip to the Grottos, Dolphin Watching, Fishing, etc. To the left of the Marina is the Fishing Harbour.
The railway station is adjacent to the Marina, and boasts a regular and inexpensive service to Faro, stopping at the many local towns, including connections to Lisbon. The bus/Coach Station is over the Footbridge from the Marina, behind the Hotel Marina Rio. A short walk over the pedestrian footbridge takes you to the promenade, and up to the many squares in the town.
Lagos town retains the atmosphere of its great cosmopolitan heritage. This fact is readily visible to the visitor in its wealth of architecture and monuments. Within the medieval walled town lies a labyrinth of cobbled streets and squares. Here you will find numerous shops, bars, street cafes, and restaurants, offering delicious seafood and international cuisine.
1 km along the Meia Praia Beach Road is the Palmares Links Golf Club, and a short drive away are the courses of Penina, Parque de Floresta, Boavista, and Alto.
Numerous sports and pastimes are readily accessible from the Apartment. Enjoy the 5km expanse of the beautiful unspoilt golden sands of the Meia Praia, perfect for that early morning walk along the shore. This is a blue flag Beach, and is perfect for all water sports including pedaloes, surfing, windsurfing, scuba diving, sailing, fishing. Dolphin trips, bird watching, horse riding, cycling, great walks, tennis, etc. all available in the area. LATEST NEWS - The NEW Algarve Motor Park has just been completed, already held the World Superbike Series, and the Spanish GT Championship, and Michael Schumacher was the surprise guest! Formula 1's new venue. This Track is only 12km from Lagos.
The local "Onde" bus stops at the entrance to the cul-de-sac at Mira Baia, and stops in the town, also visiting Praia Dona Ana and Porto de Mos.
There is a Gypsy Market on the edge of the Town on the First Saturday of each Month. Every Saturday morning is the Farmers Market, held next to the Bus Station, well worth a visit. Ideal for fresh produce.
Many Festivals are held in Lagos throughout the year, celebrating the Discoveries dating back to the 15th century, many Art Exhibitions, etc.
How to get there
Faro Airport is served by most of the main airlines, including many of the budget carriers. Regional flights are excellent, and many deals can be found all year. We are pleased to assist and advise on flights. We can arrange/advise on carhire/taxi/minibus, plus public transport.

Further details indoors: Front door opens into a spacious hallway, off which lead all the rooms.
Double Doors lead into an extremely large lounge/Dining Room with Sea and Countryviews, furnished with leather sofas, dining room table and chairs, Satellite TV, receives all English Channels, plus Portuguese. Large Patio Doors lead to the Main Balcony. Both bedrooms have large comfortable twin beds, fitted wardrobes, and ceiling fans. Hairdryer in each room, safe fitted in main bedroom. These Rooms have Patio Doors out to their own Balcony and have Sea Views. Two bathrooms, (one en suite) each with Bath/Shower, vanity unit, bidet, w.c. and shaver socket. The Kitchen is fully fitted with a large Fridge/Freezer, full oven and Hob, Microwave, W/M, etc. and ample china, utensils, pans. This room has two windows and a Door which leads to a back balcony which overlooks the Countryside and the cul-de-sac.
All linen is supplied, including Towels for the Bathrooms. Please bring your own Beach Towels.
The Apartment has central heating and double glazing for comfortable Winter Lets.
Further details outdoors: N E W - As from May 2009, we have made a private arrangement with the newly built "Vila Gale" Hotel (4 star), which is adjacent to the Apartment, for our Guests to have the option of using their superb facilities which include large outdoor pools/sunbathing areas, and also Indoor Pools/Spa/Gym/Tennis/Mini Golf facilities. There is a small charge for the Spa Club facilities.
Lounge/Dining Room, and both Bedrooms face the Sea, and large patio doors lead to the main balcony with patio table and chairs for alfresco dining, together with sun loungers, and parasol. The rear terrace from the Kitchen has a Bench Seat, and looks over the surrounding Countryside.
We provide additional items to be taken to the Beach, Parasol, chairs, small tent, bodyboard, games, etc.
For the Golfer, we can supply one set of Golf Clubs on request. Please bring your own shoes, NO spikes.

Lets are usually Saturday - Saturday, but we can be more flexible in the Winter months, or low Season/Late Deals. Please contact us to check availability. DISCOUNTS - Long Winter Lets are welcome and negotiable. Special Offers throughout the Year subject to availability.
We let the Apartment on a two-tier basis, for 2 persons using only one Bedroom with the added bonus of 2 Bathrooms, or 3/4 persons using both the bedrooms.
For reservations, a £100 per week non returnable deposit is required within 3 days of reservation. Final payment to be received 6 weeks prior to vacation, together with a separate Holding Cheque for £100, as a returnable deposit subject to safe receipt of keys, and confirmation of no damage to Apartment or Furnishings.
Conditions
Lets are usually on a weekly basis, but short term breaks/weekends possible during the Winter/Low Season.
Payment can also be received in Euros if preferred.
Cot/extra bed can be provided for small children (small charge), but please inform us at time of booking.
