About this location

The Algarve region

Beautiful beach, Marina. Plenty of bars & restaurants to choose from, Something for everyone!!!Average daily minimum temperatures on the Algarve can range from 8 to 10 degrees centigrade. Many suggest that the best time to visit the Algarve is between May and June when temperatures are up around 24 to 30 degrees centigrade - not oppressively hot, although that's hot enough. Expect very hot temperatures in July and August on the Algarve when they tend to push into the mid 30 degrees centigrade.

Lagos is a traditional place with lots of charm and lots of character. However, for those who require a little more activity, there are lots of boat trips, fishing trips and different water sports on offer. Just venture down the Avenida for more information. The town of Lagos is rich in history and culture and has an exciting mix of the old and new Portugal, but at the same time still preserving its charm. There are many places of interest depicting Portugal's history of exploration with the statue of Henry the Navigator standing at the entrance to the historic square amongst the city walls and very close to the castle fortress which itself overlooks the bay of Meia Praia and the Atlantic Ocean. At the opposite end of town is the newly created Marina, with many bars, restaurants and home to some magnificent boats. You may like to take a boat trip yourself to go dolphin watching or visit the picturesque town of Sagres which can be arranged from the Marina.

There are many excellent 18-hole golf courses nearby, only a short drive from the apartment. For the less energetic explore the narrow cobbled streets and indulge in some retail therapy at the many quaint shops specialising in arts, crafts and ceramics or relax at one of the alfresco cafe's whilst contemplating a visit to the local saturday market.

Once the sun set's the town comes alive with an abundance of excellent and varied restaurants and lively bars to suit all tastes.

"Fantastic Holiday loved Lagos"

We stayed in Kevin,s apartment for 2 wks in July. Its a nice quit part of Lagos but still only 5 mins to the beach and marina. the swimming pool was fantastic and never seemed to be crowded on many occasions we were the only ones in it that,s probably because the beach is only 5 mins down the road. We found the apartment to be spacious with every thing you need for an enjoyable stay there,s a good sized kitchen and 2 bathrooms one with a shower. Lagos marina again is about a 5 mins walk its nice to stroll around and look at the boats and there,s plenty of bars, food. Lagos old town is probably another 5 mins walk from the marina and packed full of restaurants and bars dont know about the night life because we have a young family but had some great meals in and around the town. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can recommend it to any one. Martin.

"Great apartment, easy access to all amenities."

This was the biggest one bedroom apartment we ever stayed in. The facilities were great. The kitchen was as good as what you would have at home. The pool was just outside the veranda. Love swimming so this was great for me. It was very close to the Marina, which had great bars and restaurants and from that just across the (famous) bridge was the centre of town. It was also very close to the train station and bus station. Really enjoyed the holiday here.
