Home description

This luxury apartment is situated on one of the Algarve's most respected golf resorts, Boavista. The resort is British owned and run and extends to 260 manicured acres. This ground floor apartment completed in 2004 has its own terrace and garden and with the benefit of its elevated position affords magnificent views over the 2nd green, the course and the hills beyond.

As well as having the rights to use the Village's heated outdoor pool and children's pool the visitor has access to the new Clubhouse facilities completed in 2007. The Clubhouse has all the usual golf features including a restaurant and bar but also has a separate indoor pool, spa, jacuzzi and gym facility ( a small fee applies ). In addition the Resort offers a golf academy, golf driving range, tennis courts, small football pitch, football and tennis schools and a children's playground as well as 24 hour reception, security and a second restaurant.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

The Algarve has an excellent reputation with the British public. The Portuguese in general and the Algarve people especially, extend a genuinely warm and friendly welcome to their British visitors. This welcome is matched by the warm climate throughout the year with July and August being the hottest and most popular months.

Lagos is in the Western Algarve which has always been more relaxed and rural than its brasher neighbours around Faro and Albufeira. This laidback pace is a major appeal of this area with the countryside starting immediately behind its beaches and cliffs, and country visits and restaurants being only a stone's throw away from the beaches..


Lagos / Boavista area

Boavista sits just west of the historic port of Lagos which offers not only several white sandy beaches but old cobbled streets, an Old Town, picturesque squares, local country and seafood restaurants and a bright new Marina including sailing, diving, boat trips and dolphin watching opportunities. All you need on your doorstep.

The beach resort of Luz is closest to Boavista, being just minutes away with its wonderful family friendly beach and with all the restaurants and facilities you need to while away your days and nights.

Further west lie a string of amazing beaches each becoming more secluded as you head towards ' lands end ' at Sagres and if you turn north the wild beaches and cliffs of the Alentejo await.

Flights from the UK into Faro International Airport offer the cheapest and easiest way to arrive on the Algarve. Monarch provide a reliable scheduled service at budget prices from many UK regional airports, whilst Easyjet and Jet2.com are amongst many budget operators flying into Faro.

The airport is less than an hours direct car journey along the A22 motorway that drops you very close to the Resort's entrance.

Many international car hire companies have facilities at the airport but we would recommend that you try some of the local companies for more personal service and more economical rates ie Luzcars or EPI.

The apartment has two twin bedded bedrooms, the master with an en-suite bathroom and the other with a separate bathroom and shower. Both bedrooms have ample built-in wardrobes.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with all modcons including cooker, fridge/freezer, micro wave, dish washer and washer /dryer. Bed linen and towels are changed once a week.

The lounge is large and spacious and to the rear are the dining facilities. The lounge has a satellite tv and both bedrooms and lounge can be cooled or heated by the air conditioners. The lounge and master bedroom have patio door access direct to the garden and terrace and the whole Village has 24 hour security provided by patrols. Car parking is direct to the rear of the apartment.

Further details outdoors:
Boavista Golf Resort boasts an 18 hole Championship course in a tranquil setting with seaviews from many parts of the course but offers much to non-golfers in terms of it's ambience and amenities.

Fairviews Village is a private condominium within the resort with its own gardens and heated outdoor pool and the apartment could not be better positioned for the adjacent tennis courts, Clubhouse, playground, and first tee. The pool is nearby but far enough away not to be a nuisance or a concern to parents with young children.

Visitors are allowed upto 20% discounted green fees and Boavista's own website is boavistagolf.com that gives more information on the Resort and Course.


Further details

Boavista is British owned but is managed by a friendly, dedicated and professional team of Portuguese. It has a 24 hour reception facility and any additional or special requiremnets can be catered for ie cots, extra pillows or blankets.

The staff are knowledgeable of the district and can make arrangements for you or provide advice on where to go. Almost all staff speak very good English.

Smoking in the property is not allowed but on the terrace it is fine.


Conditions

We are flexible about the start and finish dates ie midweek to midweek is fine...please ask.

We will consider short breaks but not less than 4 days.

A non returnable £100 deposit is required to reserve the property with the outstanding balance being payable by cheque no later than 6 weeks before departure.
