From the moment you walk in, this light and airy one bedroom garden apartment has a lovely modern contemporary feel to it.
From its bright spacious open plan lounge and dining area with light comfortable leather sofas, to its ultra modern bathroom with luxurious Jacuzzi bath. It is fully equipped with all modern conveniences and provides very comfortable living accommodation throughout.
The apartment is situated within the small exclusive Albasol apartment complex which is just a 5 minute drive from the beautiful & historic town of Lagos. Set on the ground floor, it has an exceptionally large terrace, with 3 sun beds and the wooden table and chairs for four persons are ideal for al-fresco dining!
From the small kitchen patio and single bedroom you have an uninterrupted view of the swimming pool area, which is set in quiet landscaped gardens.
The accommodation also includes secure underground parking for one vehicle and although a car is recommended it is not essential.
Lagos Marina is a pleasant 8 minutes walk from the apartment and Lagos town centre a further 5 minutes walk across the Marina bridge.
It is an ideal holiday home for couples, sailing enthusiasts and golfers. Budding Surfers can take lessons from one of the several surf shops in town. Hoby Cat sailing is also available at Meia Praia beach by a licensed international instructor. Golf is available at Palmeres course.

The apartment comprises a three and a two seater comfortable leather sofas in the open plan lounge/dining area with patio doors leading onto a large private sun terrace. The lounge also has a flat screen TV with local channels and ample seating arrangements. It has a well equipped kitchen with all utensils and a small second terrace leading off the kitchen overlooking the garden area. The spacious twin-bedded optional air-conditioned room has ample storage and wardrobe space and full size mirror. A single size fold-up bed is provided should you require it for a 3rd guest/child. The modern bathroom has a luxury jacuzzi bath and the property has gas central heating for those late autumn and early spring evenings. Towels and linen are provided on a freshly laundered basis per change of clients. Please bring your own beach towels. Satellite TV for UK Channels.

2 sun beds are provided for our private terrace or you may move them for swimming pool side bathing. Entrance to the complex is via gated electronic entry. An electrically operated garage door provides private secure parking for one car space.
Standing on the left of the private patio you can have a glimpse of the sea at Meia Praia beach which is approx 1km in the distance.
Feel free to avail yourself of the 180 degree panoramic view of the sea from the top floor of the Albasol building.

A non-refundable deposit of £200 is payable upon booking. Remainder to be paid 8 weeks before departure date.
I require an additional security deposit of £100 which will be fully refunded within 1 week of the end of the stay provided there is no damage to the property.
Bank bill payment from your bank to my UK Nationwide Bank Account in GBP or guests can be provided with my Euro account details or PayPal details.

The Algarve / West Algarve region
Lagos is the third largest town in the Algarve, straddling the river Bensafrim and surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt countryside. It is a lively, cozy town with a maze of winding cobbled streets full of pavement restaurants, local cafés, bars, antique and art shops, and what must be one of the world's best stocked fish markets. It is also rich in culture and history, and is widely regarded as the most charming town of the Algarve.
Lagos has an excellent nightlife centred around the old town, but merely wandering through the maze of winding streets soaking up the atmosphere is entertainment enough. Jazz and Blues lovers of live music must not miss an evening out at the famouse Stevie Ray's club.
There is a fine sandy beach in town beneath the imposing wall of the ancient Fortress which still stands guard over the harbour entrance, but perhaps the most impressive beach in the area is Meia Praia, a 5 kilometre stretch of golden sand. It begins on the eastern side of the railway station and has watersport facilities, sun-beds and sun shades for hire. The string of small beaches on the western side of Lagos including the picturesque Praia D´Ana and Porto de Mós appeal to those who prefer smaller more intimate coves, although some can only be reached by boat or by the famous cliff walk which is only recommended for the sure-footed. A short boat trip from Lagos takes you round the rock formations and grottoes of Ponta da Piedade, between Luz and Lagos. The boats depart from Praia D'Ana.
Boat (day) trips to Sagres give you the possibility of seeing the beautiful coast line from Lagos to Sagres. These trips start from the pontoon in the marina. Why not take a trip out from the marina and Dolphin watch on one of the two large high speed Ribs boats; a fantastic experience.

Nearest Beaches: Meia Praia (1km) Praia D Ana (arguably one of the most famous Algarve beaches) and Porto De Mos are just 3 minutes drive away.
Golf Courses within a 30 minute drive of the apartment include: - Palmares (1km), Boavista, Parque da Floresta (8km) & Penina - all 18 hole Championship Golf Courses.

And finally for those of you who are interested in the regions rich culture and history you won't be disappointed. Discover quaint villages set on the seafront such as Salema, or tucked away in the hills, the charming walled port of Lagos with its handsome marina and 17th century Fort, the lovely spa town of Caldes de Monchique is well worth a visit and ancient Silves with its Moorish castle. Further west lies the historic town of Sagres and clifftop Cape St Vincent, Europe's most southerly point amongst many, many more.

Apartment is a 10 minute walk to Lagos Marina and a further 10 min pleasant walk to centre of Lagos Town
Fly into Faro Airport and on arrival either:-
Collect a rental car from the many agencies ther. Prebooking will always get you a better rate. Try the various rental website search engines - see web links below..these are most helpful companies.
It is viable to take the train from Faro rail station to Lagos ( and indeed is a pleasant effortless journey) but depends what time your flight arrives..€10 taxi from airport to train station.
Transfer coach services - there are several shared shuttle bus transfer services, again check out the various web sites - use Google to find these.
Taxis - Pre-book a taxi from my local agent in Lagos and they will accommodate delays in your arrival time without any extra charge. €85 each way including the new motorway tolls(06:00 to 21:00)
Approx 1 hr drive to Lagos on the fast highway, Albedeira, Albasol Apartments (nearest landmark is Marina Park complex, drive past with that entrance on your left and bear right approx 50 metres towards the Albedeira Albasol Apartments.
The apartment is fully furnished and towels etc are there. But please bring your own Beach towels.
A small charge may be made for excessive use of electricity/gas for heating or air-conditioning.
The keys to apartment are held at my local agent Algarve Travel who are five minutes from Lagos Marina/ apartment. You would meet them directly at apartment . A map of exact instructions to the apartment will also be provided once your booking is confirmed.

We have stayed at the AlbaSol apartment 3 times now and are due to go back in August 2012. The accommodation is spacious, clean and modern. It is approx 8 mins walk to the Marina and then a further 5-6 minutes walk into Lagos town, location is great as it is just out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the lovely town. It has a pool and a small pool for toddlers.
The experience is made all the more uneventful by the owner's agent Fiona who meets and greet you with the keys and shows you the "ropes" she is lovely, very helpful and informative of the area as she has lived in Portugal a long time.
We just love the place and have had 3 great holidays and looking forward to returning this year. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others,
