The Algarve / West Algarve region
The apartment is situated on the Lagos Marina. Along the esplanade is a range of inviting shops, restaurants and bars, all with views of the Marina. There are leisure facilities, which include a children's playground with mini bumper cars, motorised boats, remote control cars, sailing boats and some traditional swings. A short stroll through the marina and over a footbridge takes you into Lagos town, with its winding cobbled streets and its 400 restaurants and bars. The apartment has secure private parking, with lift access from the garage to the apartment and video entry phone. A three minute walk from the apartment is a fully stocked supermarket, Pingo Doce, where you will find everything from fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables to wines and freshly baked bread and pastries.
Lagos / Marina area
Many people find Lagos the most likeable town on the Algarve coast. Enclosed within its 5th century walls, this ancient town is rich in historical buildings and Moorish architecture. It was here that Henry the Navigator had his legendary school. With its relaxed atmosphere and quiet charm, along with its cobbled pavements and colourful market square, it is one of the most appealing locations in the Algarve. It is an easy place to while away a week or two and good to use as a base for exploration of the western Algarve. The large terrace is perfect for dining, sunbathing or sipping sangria while enjoying the views or watching the sunset. There is wireless internet access in apartment.
Further details outdoors: Available at just a 1 min walk from the apartment is the private Pool club in the marina. It offers a wonderful pool with sun-loungers, sauna, gym and jacuzzi. Membership for 4 people is included in the rental price.

We particularly enjoyed the atmosphere in the old town and the entertainments performing on the cobbled streets. The flat was very spacious and well equipped, the large veranda was a great place to catch the late afternoon sun, to relax and dine. The local supermarket was very convenient, just around the corner. The long sandy beach was within walking distance and often fairly quiet whilst we were there.
