Foz da ria apartment is in a perfect location for a quiet relaxing break, yet only a 15 minute drive from the vibrant town of Lagos where you will find plenty of shops, restaurants and nightlife! Meia praia Lagos' longest beach is within walking distance (approx 25 mins), although those with small children i would advise using the car. The location is also a haven for golfers with Palmares, one of the oldest and most respected courses only 5 minute drive away. The private balcony overlooks the infinity pebble pool which is surrounded by beautiful landscaped secure gardens, ideal for families. Available for use is a mini gym, sauna, indoor jacuzzi and tennis court. The apartment itself is spacious, stylish and very comfortable. There is an english speaking receptionist who will gladly give you any information of the local area etc. It really is the perfect spot for those who want to explore the true delights of the western Algarve.

The Algarve region
The natural beauty of the Western Algarve is a true delight. With its untouched coastline and golden beaches, it's a sun worshipers paradise, Figueria And Ingrina being just two of the many idyllic spots. Despite all year round sunshine the landscape is remarkably green, springtime, when the wild flowers are in abundance is a truly colourful picture. The climate is almost perfect never to hot never to cold! One place i highly recommend you visit is the West Coast, just a 40 minute drive away, it's simply beautiful. For those with children, the Portuguese are very family orientated and children are pretty much welcome everywhere, dining out with the kids is the norm here.
Lagos / Vale de Lama area
Vale da Lama is a quiet location,set behind the far end of Meia praia beach, perfect to relax in, but being only a short drive to Lagos there's still plenty to do. Lagos is a lovely town where you can purchase your fresh fish from the market, wander around the shops, catch one of the many boat trips that are on offer from the marina or simply sit and watch the world go by at one of the many cafes. Lagos itself has several beaches, you will be able to find plenty of water sports, if you want to surf there are many companies offering daytrips, Surf Experience being one of them. Lagos has many restaurants and a fun nightlife! Only a five minute drive from the apartment is the village of Odiaxere, here you will find your local shop ( for larger supermarkets there are several dotted around the outskirts of Lagos) and also a very nice restaurant 'O Cacto'. For golfers there’s plenty, Palmares being a short drive by car. To the east, 15 minutes drive, is the championship course Penina. If you feel a little more adventurous try Parque da Floresta,set in the foothills, the views are quite spectacular. For any further information about places, beaches, golf courses etc please don’t hesitate to ask.
How to get there
-Nearest airport is Faro. Cheap flights are available with both Easyjet.com and flymonarch.com. -Faro airport to Foz da ria apartment is a 45 minute drive. -Car hire is essential. Luzcar.com is a recommended company. -More detailed information on any of the above can be provided on request.
